Turns over but wont start after sitting for 6 months

Points or electronic ignition? Corroborator, or fuel injection? Was the car sitting idol for a long period of time, say, 6 months to more than 1 year? With a car that old, I would start with replacing spark plug and ignition wiring. Have you checked the spark plugs? Make sure they're cleaned and gaped. If corroded, replace them.

i would check for a short between start button and battery. it could be something as simple as a loose connection on starter

For the fuel system, try just using some spray starting fluid.
Just 6 months is not that long for the fuel, unless there was water in it.

With the alarm system, you would have to tell us more what it is doing,
You can jump the ignition at the solenoid and at the ignition module.

carbs, are gummed up. Pull the carbs and clean em, you'll be up and running in no time. The gas they sell now days, it don't take long for it to varnish.

DME relay is faulty, its seperate from the ecu and was most likely fried when the ecu went........did anyone try to run an on board diagnostic code pull?

I would start with a good wax job, if your car is like me the better I look the better I feel.
