Points or electronic ignition? Corroborator, or fuel injection? Was the car sitting idol for a long period of time, say, 6 months to more than 1 year? With a car that old, I would start with replacing spark plug and ignition wiring. Have you checked the spark plugs? Make sure they're cleaned and gaped. If corroded, replace them.
carbs, are gummed up. Pull the carbs and clean em, you'll be up and running in no time. The gas they sell now days, it don't take long for it to varnish.
DME relay is faulty, its seperate from the ecu and was most likely fried when the ecu went........did anyone try to run an on board diagnostic code pull?
