My yamaha 650 maxim locked up while turning over trying to start (carb problems). Putting it in gear the back wheel is locked BOTH ways (but free spinning in neutral). Tranny is OK, valve cover off shows cam chain ok. Did starter motor go? How to get access to starter drive? Can I take starter motor off w/ the 2 external vertical bolts? Thanks!!!

The only vacumn lines on a Maxim 650 is the small line from the fuel petcock that turns it on when there is intake suction. It can be connected to any intake manifold But is usually connected to cyl. # 2 left to right. The 4 vent hoses to the carb tops just hang down the back of the motor.
With the spark plugs in it would be very challenging. Your best chance of trying this would be to roll it down a hill and pop the clutch ....But this really begs the question of why would you want to?
