Wantin to upgrade my motorbike

Hi, i have a 1998 honda rebel 125. i was wanting to get a biker 1 but my mate thro me the idea that I could put a 250 engine into the frame, he said the frame on the 125 and the 250 r the same, is this true, and wat else wud i need to replace (exchausts etc) for this upgarde,

Plz help cuz I love my wee bike but i need a bit more power to it

Yes they are the same frame and will interchange. I would get everything with the new motor. Exhaust-carbs-air box. You may need to get the CDI box but i'm not shure on that.

My 250 honda rebel runs fine in neutral but shuts off when i put it in gear. When i don't have the cluch engaged it lurches foward slightly then shuts off.

Check the side stand kill switch. Broken, loose or out of adjustment it will kill the bike when put in gear. The idea is to prevent starting out with the side stand down. Check the wires and connections also.
