Why won't my2012 suzuki king quad run but it idles

Carb needs cleaned. Once it gets cleaned or rebuilt always use non- Ethanol fuel. I have a 10 year old ATV and it has always had non-ethanol fuel and never has a problem. Use the same gas on your lawn mower,Weed Wacker, Rototiller and anything with a small motor. It will not gum up.

Precautions to take when storing 2 cycle lawn equipment

Any time a weed wacker, chain saw, snowblower, leaf blower, or any 2 cycle machine must be stored for a period of time exceeding 6 months the gasoline must be removed completely from the gas tank and carburator. To do this simply run the engine until it runs out of gas then proceed to choke the carburetor and restart until no start up ocurrs this removes all fuel preventing the carburator from gumming up. This will allow you to store the unit for long periods of time without the worry of having to disassemble the carb. and clean next time it must be used.

My briggs and stratton 550e push mower starts and

If your using Ethanol Fuel... This goes for All yard equip. Weed wackers, blowers, chain, etc. Change fuel lines to ethanol safe. change fuel filter, push bulbs, (ethanol fuel destroys these making them soft / shrink and close up). Mowers, remove carb. bowl under carb. 1 bolt spray carb cleaner around, under and in bowl (may have to r&r needle if sticking) clean / replace air filters and possibly spark plug....All maintenance items.(Change Oil) If this doesn't do it.... there's more, this is the simplest start........

1330se it is brand new not getting fuel to motor will run on either

There may be a filter on the fuel pickup line inside the fuel tank that has clogged due to old fuel being left in the tank. Look inside the tank - it probably looks like rust - you need to change that. Any lawn mower repair shop should have a filter that works and could change it for you. Note - run the blower until it runs out of fuel before storage to avoid problems like this - same rule for lawnmowers, weed wackers, etc.

What is the best gas treatment for running and storing my lawn mowers

yes, starter fluid will work, but I recommend getting a bottle of Carb Cleaner. It's easily purchased at any hardware store or automotive repair place, and it works really fast on any gunk in a carburetor. A few solid sprays with carb cleaner and wipe it out with a paper towel, and the thing will be spotless.

Handle on UPVC door needs replacing. Have been quoted 230 Euro. Is this a DIY job?

Dont advise DIY on chain saws they are small and pain in the *** to work on every time I endulge seems something else goes wrong with it, I dont mind the bigger things(lawn mower engines etc.) but not weed wackers, chain saws, or leaf blowers.

How do I clean the carb on my Lawn Mower

Without completely removing the carb you can just start the engine and squirt carb cleaner in it after removing the air filter. If it needs additional cleaning(float sticking, dirt in the bowl, gas overflow etc.) you'll have to pull it from the motor and take it apart.

Weed wacker

check the fuek lines for hole and leaks, check the fuel filter and clean if necessary. remove the carbuerator and inspect the gasket; it should be soft and flexible, if it seems hard or brittle replace it. clean the carb with carb cleaner sray (available at any local auto parts store) and compressed air. make sure you get inside the small fuel rail holes. if that doesn't work have the carb repaired at a service center or replaced.
