PO440 on 1999 Pontiac Montana. Is it the purge solenoid valve? And how can I get to the purge valve to replace it?

It sits on a bracket. In the center of the bracket use a small screw driver to bend the center piece out away from the valve. Then work the valve off of it. Pull it up to see it. Unplug it and remove the purge lines.

Hi, i have a P0444 code which i was told it is a fuel tank vent valve and the part# is 13-90-7-618-643 from BMW which i purchase from there parts department. The question is were does it get installed on...

from BMW forums: "... replaced the EVAP purge valve (a.k.a. fuel tank breather valve) on my 2002 BMW 325i (E46). As I did it, I discovered that all that needs to be removed is the air filter housing in order to get access to replace the EVAP purge valve. It turns out that I didn't have to loosen the power steering reservoir retainer and move it out of the way. There is enough slack in both fuel breather hoses that you can slightly unhook the purge valve from the mount and slightly pull it out from under the engine intake manifold."

Troy-bilt cultivator 26cc gas/oil separate engine spewing oil out through filter when running...there is a hose from the oil reservoir straight into the back of the filter...as the engine revs it literally...

Hi, Check the oil reservoir breather that it's not plugged up. The oil should be returning back to the reservoir not going to the filter. That tells me that there is air being pumped into the engine (oil).
The piston rings could be broken or the carberator needs to be readjusted.

Open the air screw abit more on carb. Then see what happens. Good luck.

Where is the location of a vent valve solenoid on a 2006 chevy uplander minivan

There are two. One is the Canister Vent Solenoid located above the gas tank and it has to be dropped to change. The other is the Vent Purge Valve and it is located under the hood to the right on the intake manifold close to your brake fluid reservoir.

The larger vacuume hose atatchd to the air filter spits oil into the housing

Check to see if you have overfilled the oil supply. My 1980 has the same oil vent pipe terminating in the air box, and if the oil reservoir is over filled it will spit oil into the air box. That line is a breather pipe and it conforms to EPA rules, namely no venting of hydrocarbons to the atmosphere.

F250 2wd, When I put a new steering gear in, how do I flush the power steering pump

disconnect the return pipe to the reservoir, and put it into container to catch the oil.block off the hole in the reservoir[where the hose would have gone].fill reservoir with new ATF oil.jack front of vehicle up,turn the steering back and forth.that will purge any old oil into the container.briefly start motor, that will push new oil thru the system, and clean out pump.then reconnect return hose, refill reservoir, and start motor, turning the steering back and forth, making sure reservoir is always full.when the oil stops going down, put vehicle back on ground, and check power steer operations
