Yes.Hold the decom and give it 2-3 kicks.Release it and slowly kick it untill pressure builds up.Pull in the decom and move the kickstarter a very small amount to get the piston very close to t.d.c..Now,give it a full kick and at the same time release the decom.Hope this helps you

Engine locked on Suzuki 230 quad sport

Hi, Alisa I don't know if it heat seized or trans locked up or just plane broke but it is going to require major surgery for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. For more information about your issue and valuable free downloads that you will need please visit the websites below. Good luck and have a nice day.

I have a 2005 RMZ 450. The rod on the crank shaft blew apart and i had to replace both cases, crank, piston and rings, get the cylinder fixed and plated. I had a local Suzuki shop replace everything. ...

Sounds like your ratchet gear is mis aligned, when you put the ratchet gear together it has alignment marks that have to line up when you insert it back in the case...The kick shaft being bent slightly should not prevent the engine from turning over. I hope this helps.

YZ426F HARD TO START WHAT IS THE TRICK TO THE COMPRESSION RELEASE TO START THIS BIKE

I have one of these also. Push lightly on kickstart until compression is felt. Pull in the decompression lever and press kickstarter down another 2 inches, release the decompression lever, and and then let up on the kickstarter to get a full swift kick. It seems like alot to do, but once you get the hang of it, it really is easy. Also, I upgraded the copper spark plug (NGK CR8E) to an Iridium one (NGK CR8EIX) and it made it much easier also.

Also, I have heard that an exhaust cam from an ' 03 YZ450F has the same cam lobes, but with the built in auto-decompress will swap straight into this bike, I was looking into doing this with mine, but just got so good with the above procedure I did not waste the money on it.

I have a diesel car its not built with a distributor cap

LOOK I'M REALLY SORRY I DID NOT RECONIZE IT WAS A DIESEL A OLD BATTERY OR A HOT CLIMATE WILL MAKE THOSE DIESELS START HARD THE CAR MANUFACTURES KNOW THAT SO WITH A DIESEL COMES DIFFERENT MATINANCE SOME OF THEM HAVE A DECOMPRESSION SWITCH SO YOU CAN LET OFF SOME OF THE PRESURE WHEN STARTING .. THAT IS WHY WHEN THEY GET A DIESEL ENGINE STARTED THEY DO NOT LIKE TO TURN THEM OFF THEY ARE VERY HIGH COMPRESSION AND THE FULE EXPLODES REAL CLOSE TO TOP DEAD CENTER WHEN THE PISTON IS MAKING ITS STROKE .. THAT IS WHY BIG RIGS HAVE AS MANY AS 4 BATTERIES TIED TOGETHER FOR COLD AS WELL AS HOT STARTS SO KEEPING NEWER BATTERIES IS ABOUT THE BEST YOU CAN DO GOOD LUCK POHLCAT

I have a ktm 640lc4 (2002) it has a leaver in front of the clutch leaver. what is this for?

Is it a kick start or does it have a kick starter in addition to the electric start? If so then it is a decompression lever which you pull in when you are trying to start the bike by kick start. Hold in the lever and try the kickstart vs not holding the lever. You'll feel a huge difference.

Tht van of yours is a suzuki 'every' or a 'carry'
go to this site http://www.suzuki-forums.com/search.php?searchid=233287&photoplog_searchinfo=1

and go down to Forum Jump and click on tht arrow down and select suzuki every / carry there you will get lots of info with regards to your van.
On these models you have to be careful to the bleeding of the cooling system.
