Will run only with choke on

This is fuel starvation ( it is running too lean ) if it has been stood from last year with the same fuel in , the fuel may have gone stale and bloced the jet in the carb, keep priming and starting this may eventualy clear the carb, if not the carb will have to come off and clean through, ley us know if you need help servicing the carb.

Unburnt fuel come out of muffler while saw is running

There is a number of reasons why this can happen, running the saw on too rich a fuel oil mix, most modern two stroke oil is ok to run at 50-1, air filter blocked creating over fueling, clean the filter, carb mixture screws set too rich, re set the H screw on the carb, carb flooding due to needle leaking, service carb, ignition system fault, miss firing, replace plug, or ignition unit.
Always try the easy stuff first before fitting new parts.

Hard start

remove the carb and take the fuel bowl off ; soak it in gas for a few days; clean it good with carb cleaner spray in every hole using the straw; reassemble; clean fuel tank; add fresh gas. If this dont do it , you may have to adjust the carb ,turning the screws 1/4 of a turn at the time til you get it running and then fine tune it

Engine starts easily, but doesnt stay running. removed fuel cap, still the same, pulled off fuel line, its not plugged. With the air cleaner off if I spray in starting fluid it keeps running, but will stop...

sounds like a fuel problem in the gas tank or carb. If bad gas or debris gets into the carb fuel bowl, this will fowl up or clog the jets after you start to run your engine. you need to remove your carb and clean the fuel bowl and jets. use a jet carb cleaner to do this. without knowing what type of engine, make sure all ur jets are clean. use a fine wire to insure they are clean and put te carb back together. also check and clean the fuel valve area of the carb, the fuel line, and the fuel tank. never use last years gas and always run your equipment out of gas before you store it for the winter.

Won't stay running

Adjust the idle knob.. Set it higher, If it still stops. Check for fuel quality, make sure there isnt any water or any form of moister in the fuel tank. Carb needles need to be cleaned including the jets. Disassemble the carb and Blow pressurized air on the needles... This would convince you that the carbs are indeed clean. Also, make sure that the air filter isnt "choking" the carb. Clean it as well.

Stops running

if you bought it recenly and still able to return or exchange at store, try that first. if not, check the fuek lines for hole and leaks, check the fuel filter and clean if necessary. remove the carbuerator and inspect the gasket; it should be soft and flexible, if it seems hard or brittle replace it. clean the carb with carb cleaner sray (available at any local auto parts store) and compressed air. make sure you get inside the small fuel rail holes. if that doesn't work have the carb repaired at a service center or replaced.
