Get yourself one of the old style tube spanners with a series of holes for screwdriver to use as a T handle. The tubes come in all plug sizes and a myriad of legths or you can cut it to size yourself. They're about $12. Or a chain link, flexi drive, T-handle with attachable sockets for way way too much! Bike accessories stores will have both, but is a little cheaper to buy from Auto stores.

What size socket is needed to remove plugs from a 1994 Suzuki rf900r

These are a nightmare to remove. You will need a long and thin walled socket to reach into the hole. There is very little room between the flats on the plug and the wall of the hole. I am sure it is 5/8" but not absolutely certain as I let the spanner go with the bike when I sold it. The one I had was about 12" long and it only just reached in.
Hope that helps

When i plug the washing machine in to the socket all my house electrics go off

Double check the wiring to the machine. Is it correct? If so call an electrician the wall outlet is wired in correctly.

How do i remove the ignition switch on a 1990 dodge dakota?

I've done this twice in the past year. Remove the two screws under the steering column that hold the cover in place. Then you will see two nuts with washers, one on either side of the column, that hold the column to the dash frame. Remove those two nuts and washers, and you can lower the steering wheel and column to rest on the drivers side seat cushion. Then with a ratchet and I think a 5/16-inch socket and a couple of "wobble end" extensions on the ratchet, one long and the other short, you can contort your body into position to reach the two hex-head self threading screws that hold the ignition switch to the column. Once they are out, you can re-contort your body so that you can disconnect the two electrical plugs that connect to the right side of the switch. (When you first look at the plugs and the wires, it looks as though it is all one plug, but it's two.) Good luck!

Follow this steps on how to replace the spark plugs,

    1. Locate your spark plugs before beginning. Accessing the spark plugs can vary greatly depending on the model of motorcycle. The Ninja series bikes place the spark plugs near the top of the motor, hidden beneath the fuel tank and air box.

    2. Remove the seat and fuel tank. Locate the bolts that secure the fuel tank to the frame and remove them with a socket wrench. Lift the fuel tank upwards and disconnect the fuel lines. Pull the entire tank away from the motorcycle and set it aside.

  • 3. Unscrew the air box lid with a screwdriver and remove. Remove the air filter and locate the bolts that secure the air box to the motor. Unscrew the bolts with a screwdriver and pull the air box off of the motor. Take note of the locations of any wiring or hoses that may be attached to the air box before disconnecting them.

    4. Pull the spark plug wire off of the first spark plug and clear the plug cavity with compressed air to remove dirt or debris that may been trapped. Remove the spark plug with a spark-plug socket. If needed, use a socket extension to reach the spark plug in the cavity.

    5. Insert a new spark plug into the cavity and carefully tighten with a spark plug socket. Slide the spark plug wire onto the end of the spark plug and press down until the wire clicks into place.

    6. Repeat as necessary for any remaining spark plugs. Reinstall the air box and reconnect any hoses or wiring removed earlier. Insert the air filter into the air box and seal the lid by tightening its bolts with a screwdriver

    7. Reinstall the fuel tank, reconnecting the fuel lines and tightening the mounting bolts with a socket wrench. Replace the seat.

    Thank you

I want to know how to change a set of spark plugs on a 2000 kawasaki zx12r motorcycle. can u pls tell me the quickest, and most convienient way to do this, if there is such a way?

1.find the spark plugs,
2.take off the caps (these just usualy pull off but a bit of wiggling may be required).
3.un screw the spark plug, use a socket or wrench/spanner set to help you.
4. find the number on the plastic part of your spark plug (write it down)
5. take the spark plug into a local store for cars or bikes and look for your spark plug number (buy the correct amount of spark plugs)
6. insert new spark plugs with your socket/ wrench/ spanner set (do not tighten to a point where your using all your muscles, just enough that you cant undo it with your hands)
7. put the caps back on (wiggling them while pushing down helps)
8. start it up and away you go

How to change centre spark plug on my thunderbird 900 is there a special plug spanner and where do i purchase one.

I recently had to change my sparks on my 2002 thunderbird. It certianly wasn't a simple case of remove fuel tank as you still get the spine of the bike blocking your path. Any standard box spanner and even the Triumph spanner failed to get enough clearance to access the plug. Short of removing the whole engine block I removed the top cover of the engine and used a shorter 5" box spanner. Fiddly job but with the tools at hand worked. Unless someone knows of any specialist bendy spanners?
