Question about 2001 Honda CB 125 T

Bike stutters like its starved of fuel when you get to about 45 mph,yet ive cleaned carb,jets filters ect.its a lifan lf 125 custom help.its ok going up the gears

05 Yamaha Royal Star carb out through air and fuel location

Certainly sounds like fuel starvation as you have to pull the choke. Strip the cards and make sure the jets are not blocked and also there is nothing in the bottom of the float chamber that is popping back up into the jets when the fuel flows.

One other really random idea. Make sure there is nothing blocking the air flow to the carbs. I went to the Isle of Man for the TT races on a Kawasaki H1, 500 and I put a sponge under the seat just in case I wanted to wash the bike whilst I was there. Performance was really bad. A Dutch guy pointed out that I had stuffed the sponge in the air intake! I removed it and it went like a rocket!

Old bike (97) less than 10000 miles. I push the starter and it lights right up and will Idle forever very smoothly give it some gass and it peters out and then stalls. Checked fuel filter fuel line ect. no...

I think you may have blocked main jets(assuming Carbs). If your bike has been sitting for a long time this will probably be the case and they will need to be stripped and cleaned. I did have one case though where wasps had built a nest in the exhaust pipes and that is a most unlikely scenario but only takes a few seconds to have a look. Hope that helps.

Hi i have a t5 millenium it is fitted with a scorpion exhaust and a 115 main jet,the bike starts ok first kick with the choke out once started choke goes straight back in.when i ride it from cold i can not...

Hi, Mike_hall558 and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel cap or fuel tank is not venting properly.
2. Fuel filter clogged.
3. Fuel line pinched or kinked.
4. Float needle and seat sticking.
5. Float level too low.
6. Carburetor bowl vent line clogged/blocked/pinched.
7. Idle adjusting screw set too low.
8. Air/fuel mixture screw set too lean.
9. Idle port, transfer ports, slow air jet clogged.
10. Slow fuel jet clogged.
11. Faulty fuel pump.

My bike will idel but won t rev. just cuts off

Starving for fuel.
Make sure carbs are getting fuel.
Make sure fuel filters are clean,
make sure fuel pump is working.

If carbs are getting fuel but wont rev, you need to clean your carbs because your jets are clogged

Acceleration and High Revs not as responsive.

1/When it start to happen was your fuel low on fuel level. Have you ever clean out your fuel tank or replace fuel filter before in the last 2-3 years?
2/Have you use your choke to test if the ideal fuel ratio is on either side of good burning mixture?
3/It sounds your jets are clogged, one way is to use a Fuel injector/carb cleaner mixed into your fuel system, where in the beginning try to use about double the recommended mixture ratio (25ml to 5L fuel), ride the bike for about a week then reduce the ratio to recommended ratio for another week then everytime you refuel use the same ratio for 3 times refuelling and see if that resolve your problem. Good?

Air filter needs to be installed and clean. Check the seal at the carb,for tears or loose clamps.Also make sure fuel filter is cleaned out or replaced(dirt trash or water will stop fuel flow). If fuel pump is electric fuses may need replacement. If you still dont get better results you may need carbs cleaned.Not just add cleaner to gas,but removed and debris removed from jets float valve seat or filters inside.

My honda cg 125 is stuttering as i hit bout 30 mph though iv checked the oil and that seems ok?

Drain the carb folat bowl. Chances are condensation has made it into the bowl causing the sputter. A new spark plug never hurts. The same for a clean air filter.

If your bike boggs down when you attempt to accelerate, it usually indicates that it is starving for fuel. It could be many inline filter, trash in a jet, a stopped up strainer in the gas tank, excessive plaque in the carb. You can try some simple fixes such as replacing an inline filter, (if you have one). But usually the fix will involve removing the carb and soaking it in carb cleaner, replacing seals, gaskets, blowing out the jets, cleaning or replacing the lines. If your bike idles ok, but when you throttle up it boggs, you are getting enough fuel to make it idle, but not enough to accelerate, so when you call for more fuel, (accelerate), and it can't get it, the mixture leans out, (has too much air and not enough fuel). Hopw this is helpful. Good Luck!

You changed the back pressure in the exhaust and that is what causing your problem either put the washer back in or have the carb properly jetted

2003 V Star 650. Had fule pumping out of air cleaner box

you shouldnt have to resync the carbs as long as you dont touch the mixture screws or the screws for the throttle blades. you wont have to pull the jets completly out to clean them just spray the heck out of all the orifaces with carb cleaner once you have them pulled apart. Also whe you put it back together make shure the carb seal to the engine and airbox are tight with no leaks, this will make it run bad also
