Ok. First thing you will want to do is isolate the problem. It is caused by an electrical short. First remove the wiring harness for the rear tail light then engage the brakes if the fuse blows then you know its somewhere further down the line. If it doesn't blow then you know its between the harness and the light. You will want to find an repair the short. A multimeter will help in this process at some point, unless it ends up being easy to find.
Thank you,
lee

I have a 2009 model Suzuki Hayabusa. The turn signal fuse which is 10amp keeps blowing. This leaves me with no turn signals, rear tail light, brake light, and no dash functions.Any ideas anyone???

I've got the same problem on my 08 Busa. Both times happened after turning left. The second definitely happened when I turned on the left turn signal. The 4 way flashers worked after I replaced the fuse the first time. Perhaps the left turn signal worked a few times between replacing the fuse the first time the second time it blew. I looked at the left handlebar switch and can't see a problem in it. Next, I'm going to trace some wires.

Blows fuses when parking lights are turned on. Headlights work fine even running lights.

If it only happens when you turn the switchto the parking lights then it is most likely the swich that is the problem. Light swich failure appears to be a common fault with fords

Tail light won't work but brake light will

Check 10amp fuses #9 and #23 in the fuse block on outbord end of left side of dash panel. With driver door open you should be able to see the small access panel on end of dash.

Ford focus station wagon looking for where tail light fuse is

There are 4 fuses you would need to check in the interior fuse panel.
The first one is fuse no.32(10amp) then check no. 33 (15amp) then no. 59 (7.5 amp) and no. 61 (7.5 amp)

Brake light not working

First ensure the bulbs are fine.

Check and replace the fuse in your fuse box.

If it keeps blowing after replacing the brake lights fuse, then there is a short on the wires, you need to check wiring.

If fuse is ok and there is no brake light check wiring to the lights, there is a broken connection or an open wiring to the brake lights.

Note: brake lights are usually not dependent from tail lights, they have separate wiring.
