Question about 1977 Suzuki GS 750
I have a 1977 GS 750 and it starts right up and runs but it makes a popping noise (sounds like from carbs) over 3000 RPM and tops out about 50 MPH in 5th! If you walk by the bike you can really smell the gas. The guy I got the bike from said he put different jets in but couldn't get it right without the bike back firing. The bike has air pods and the exhaust is loud so I think that it may have been modified but they look stock. Where do I start.
carb adjust and timing ck
