Question about 2004 Honda CRF 150 F

1 Answer

The casing on the left side has a crack in it and leaking a small amount of oil. I believe maybe a rock punctured it. Is it as simple as buying a new case and gasket, drain the oil, open case and remove and replace it, fill it back up with oil? 2004 crf150

Yep. Just make sure you don't snap off any of the case bolts. Being a 2004 I doubt you should have any problems with them. I hope this helps and good luck!

How do i fix gear box gear oil leak ongs suzukugl drive shaft oil is working up through the starter and bottom of engine kind lie around gear sshifter

On the older bikes like Yamaha and Suzuki's, the starter had an O-Ring gasket on it's face. Your gasket may be bad, broken or missing and causing oil to get through. If you're leaking through your shifter pawl, then you're going to have to remove the case on the left side of the motor and replace the seal.

I have a b&s model 330000 engine which seems to leak a small amount of oil on the left side of the engine ans accumulates on the frame rail of the lawn tractor before dropping to the ground. i rec

My guess, without seeing the engine would be a seal or gasket is bad. Use Gunk brand degreaser to clean the engine. Start it up after that with the engine cover off and watch for leaks.

Coolant and oil leak

have a compression test done as the bubbles suggest a blown head gasket or cracks. That will account for the overheating. The oil leak may be from the head gasket or cracks.

I can smell gas in the inside of my hyundai

Could be quite a few things going on here. The issues don't seem related so I'll just try to answer for the gas leaking. It could be a few things. You could have a fuel line that is worn and cracked (these things are basically just rubber hoses...they do break down over time). You could also have a fuel injector "o" ring that is worn out (these are also just rubber and are subject to the same breakdown). Bottom line, a fuel leak is never a good thing. You should definitely get it checked by someone who knows that car well. As for the oil and smoke (which I believe are related), sounds like a valve cover gasket based on the brief description above...but it could be any number of things. The reason I say valve cover gasket is, it would best explain why you are seeing the smoke. If you didn't spill any oil when filling it, and you are losing a small amount, and its burning right away, that means its seeping onto your exhaust manifold and burning off (thus the smoke). Bottom line, you should definitely get this car to a mechanic that knows this engine. If they know it well enough to figure out the fuel leak quickly they should be able to spot the oil leak quickly enough as well. In my experience the longer you ignore the small issues, the bigger those issues will get...until your stuck in the garage for three weeks every night after work rebuilding an engine because those small issues, became one massive headache. Hope this helps and best of luck!!

LG WM2355C water leaking under machine after washing finished.

HI, you will want to Inspect the water supply connections. this is a good spot to check first. there may be a loose connection here, causing the leakage. Next, Inspect the drain hose. Check to make sure that it is tightly connected to the drain pump. replace if needed. Last. Inspect outer tub/basket for cracks or corrosion.

You will find the issue in one or all of the above stated check points.

Cracked oil drain just hairline but small amount of oil leaks out when oil plug is installed.

need to replace the oil pan, or take it off and find someone who can repair aluminum. I would go with the new pan to be on the safe side though.

KX60 2001,losing oil from crank casing and won't start.

it could start without oil..... but the amount of damage you would likely do to it makes it very unwise. if all the oil leaked out there was oil in it when it was started before. if i'm not mistaken that case is aluminum. if you can find someone that does tig welding (i think it's tig for aluminum).... they could probably weld that crack without taking the motor apart..... just a thought.

please take a moment to rate this solution.. thanks
