If the engine hasn't or doesn't show any effect of the oil by now, Changing the oil to specs should get you through without a problem.

The 2 stroke oil does not have enough viscosity to handle the pressures and stress the gear box goes through my suggestion is to drain and refill with the appropriate fluid

I have a ktm 250 sx 2-stroke. It has a new piston and new cylinder. bike ran great before it needed the repairs. Cranks on first kick. Run good but it leaks the pre-mix everytime i ride it and it won'

Where is it leaking from? If its leaking, that's more than likely why it doesn't run right, the fuel/air mixture is off. Also, I wouldn't continue to run it until the leak is fixed as it may damage the motor from not lubricating properly.

What oil for my xxxxx motorcycle?

This seems to be a very common question, and even if its been written before is worth going through again. This is the simple version as there are a wide variety of bike from scooters, cruisers to racers

Do not use car engine oils they will cause wet clutches to slip.

Motorcycle shops are your best source, auto shops often have the oil but make sure it says motorcycles.
The labelling will tell you but read it carefully.

Four stroke or two stroke?, this you will have to know or find out and is quite important for your engine.

Two strokes burn some oil with the petrol so you need two stroke engine oil which is mixed with the fuel either by mixing with the petrol and putting in the fuel tank or via an injection system with a separate oil tank under the seat or side cover.
Two strokes will also need two stroke transmission or gear box oil, this lubricates the gears and clutch and needs changing when servicing.

Four strokes use the same oil to lubricate the engine, gearbox and often the clutch, so it needs changing often.

There are mineral oils, semi synthetic and full synthetic, with a big difference in price, so your budget may be a deciding factor.
Mineral oils are fine for low stress commuters.
Semi synthetic works in most bikes.
Full synthetic for the high power race bred,or you just want he best.
The weight or "W" value will depend on the bike, the usage, the tempurature etc
For this you need to consult your manual, read the labels and make a decision.
The staff at bike shops will help if its still all confusing, just by telling them the model and where you ride.
Dont forget a new filter at each oil change

Do i mix the casstrole oil with the petrol for the aprilia 125

It depends if you still have a pre mix tank already fitted. Mine came with the pre mix tank taken off. It is a white coloured container in a fairly flat shape on the 98 model which should be underneath the seat when you lift it. Not sure about newer models. It should have 2 stroke oil in (quite often pink). If not I have been advised to mix the 2 stroke with the petrol at about 50:1 ratio, however I would check with your local motorcycle shop or Aprilia dealer. Alternatively get a workshop manual for the correct year of bike and it will give you all the information you need in there. Also if the tank runs to empty it has to be bled otherwise if air is in the pre mix tank it can cause damage to the engine.

In other words, you want to flush the theold out?
Drain the old, fill to proper level with20 weight oil and run it for five minutes then drain. Watch your oil pressure. Anything of the old still in there won't hurt a thing and will get dumped on next change. Oil cming out the exhsust is a two cycle thing and will exist if the mix is to much on the oil side.
