Washer clunks and bangs hard when spinning. The

This is a simple repair. The main spring may have come loose from the top (need to check the top two springs ny removing top panel. The reaslon it bangs is from the dampeners being broke. Take off the bottom panel and look inside left and right at the bottom to see if the dampeners are broke. Fairly easy repair - takes some muscle. John<!-- from fixya rte -->

When changing gear get a clunk when warmed up

Probably not, but possible. Sportys do clunk a bit when shifting gears. As long as it's not a huge bang, it should be OK. Using different trans/primary fluid may help. As for the whine, I would remove the primary chaincase cover and make sure your primary chain is adjusted properly. 5/8 to 7/8 slack at the tightest sopt. Adjust the clutch as per service manual instructions too. Dragging clutch will make for a hard shift. Check ALL nuts and bolts for tightness and look for bent parts. There is a VERY remote possibilty that when you went down and the shifter hit the ground you bent a shift fork, but like I said it's a remote possibility.

I have a 2004 Ultra Classic with 26K on it as I was riding it today it developed a very loud clunking noise from the motor, any idea what has happened to it.

Could be a loose compensator nut. Holding the front brake with the bike in gear, slowly release the clutch lever to see if you can recreate the clunking noise right there. It will be on the front left of the primary cover. If you can hear it ( and you might be able to feel it too ) then that is the route I would go.

Machine stops after wash cycle, restarts when i bang the lid.

sounds as if hte lid switch is not activating correctly, the lid actuator is actulle hte under side of left hand door hinge. if you lkift the lid and feel under the left side og the lid you fell the metal lid hinge, simply slip a hollow shafted screwdriver over the hingeitself and bend slightly back, this will make the lid come in contact with swict a little bit easier
