1 litre of oil in engine or 1.1 litre of oil if you change oil filter and you drain the oil underneith the engine there will be a plug this just simply comes out and the oil drains but warm the engine first before you do this and i would recccomend using silkolene pro 4 plus 5w-40 and also use silkolene pro cool its ready mix i can get these oils if you reccomend and i can send them to your location

Were do you check oil level on yzf 450 2005 mod

Hi, If it is a 2 stroke engine you will not need to check oil level. Because the oil is in the mix already. If it is a 4 stroke there will be a black or gray screw type plug on the crankcase. It will also have a dip stick on it. Good luck.

How too mix the two stroke oil in to a 2000 model yz250 30 two 1 or wat

32:1 is a safe ratio for the YZ, with good non oxygenated 91 pump gas. I run my YZ at 40:1, but with 110 race gas and synthetic oil. The Yamaha Y2R 2-stroke oil is a great choice, never burnt down a motor yet. Have fun!

What kind of engine oil does a 2004 yamaha yz450f take?

20w40 four stroke engine oil,

the semi synthetic and full synthetic are better oils but cost more.
Change the oil often, it only holds a bit over a litre

I have 04 yfz 450 and its overheating.I start it let it idle for 5mins and its overheating I no the coolant is circulating there is no water in the oil

Headgasket leak?If you have not done so already try filling up the rad(when cold) and run the engine with the rad cap off and look for air bubbles, or you could go to a radiator service centre to check for carbon monoxide in the rad.

Please get back to me if you require further asssistance.

What kind of oil do i need to mix in a 2002 yz 125?

You have a 2 stroke dirt bike, off road only, without oil injection. Get a gallon of 2 stroke oil, get the mix from the owners manual or the dealer, should be about 1 pint per tank? Or 4 oz per gallon. It might be more. Don't try to get away with burning motor oil in there, it won't work, it will overheat the engine and could do some damage. Hope this helps.

Just need to know where to put oil

Oil filler cap is on the left crankcase cover (engine side cover). This oils both the engine and transmission. Check the oil level on the dipstick located on the upper frame in front of the fuel tank. This should be done after the engine has been run briefly (idle for 1 minute), then kill engine and check.

General

i know you have to change the oil and oil filter but how often and is that the only thing different from maintance on a 2-stroke?. Im getting an 04 kx 250f any help would be great! The two most important aspects of four-stroke maintenance are frequent oil/filter changes and regular valve clearance checks/adjustments. And some four-strokes (RMZ450 for example) have a manual timing chain tensioner that must be regularly checked/adjusted. Everything else is exactly like a two-stroke.,,,
