It very much depends on what you are doing, surfing the net will use alot less than watching video, which uses a little less than watchind a DVD.
Average will be 3-4 hours surfing, 1-2 hours video/dvd usage.

Has been charging for 3 days but does not reach full charge. Now appears to be draining when plugged into charger

Sounds like a faulty charger.have you tried using another charger.have you also tried running the battery completely flat via control panel utilities.sometimes this helps the battery renew its stamina by complete discharge then doing full recharge.lastly if the charger is not faulty and you have tried full discharge and recharge cycle it could be the battery is starting to fail.it is not a good idea to leave the battery on continual charge as this can shorten its life.most batteries last between 500 to 700 recharge cycles before they start to lose their holding capacity.

Battery First Charge On Cellular Phones

When you first get a cell phone, the manufacturer and most likely the store will tell you to immediately put it on charge. DONT!
The best thing to do is use the charge that is on the battery already until it is dead, then give it one full charge.
This will mean the battery's 'memory' will know a full charge from the word go which means that not only will a full charge last longer but the battery will last longer overall.

After fully charged battery power lasted about 20 minutes.

Since it's brand new, return it. You didn't say what type of tablet it is, but they should last for many hours on a charge.

Battery

This is the procedure for solving consider replacing your battery problem. Start by running the command prompt with administrator privileges. This will give the full control over the command prompt. There are those commands that can only be executed when you are using the command prompt with administrator privileges. Change the destination path showing on the command prompt to be set to C:\ then type the command POWER -ENERGY( to change destination path to C:\, type CD\ ). This command will make the computer scan the battery status and after 60 seconds, a report will be generated and saved in C:\. Simply open the energy report and scroll to check the battery information. Look for the design capacity and the last full charge, note the difference in this figures.
For my laptop, these were the details
Battery Information
Battery ID: Hewlett-PackardPrimary
Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Chemistry: LION
Design Capacity: 88800
Last Full Charge: 36467

To remove the message consider replacing battery fully charge your laptop battery then unplug the charger to use the laptop on battery power. Use it until the laptop to automatically shut down. Still with the charger unplugged, power on the laptop again. Do this until the battery is totally empty. Now plug in your charger and charge the battery fully. Then perform the commands steps again by running the POWER -ENERGY command. Make sure you note the differences in the last full charge details. Continuously perform these steps until the figures in the last full charge are more than 40% of the design capacity.

FULL CHARGE LAST 5MIN. MAX

My guess is the batteries are probably no good. All batteries will only last so long and it also depends how often they are keep charged and discharged. Basically all batteries require some kind of maintenance (recharging / discharging).

After charging d battery when we remove cabele

the battery sounds like it has bad battery memory and needs to be replaced. Before you replace it look for software to give you the battery's status (how much charge it holds out of how much it should hold by design. for exaple i am using ubuntu linux and my battery reads

Capacity: 29% (Poor)
Current charge: 14.3 Wh
Last full charge: 14.3 Wh
Design charge: 48.8 Wh
Charge rate: 10.0 W

now that is my bad battery for staying at home and leaving it plugged in all the time (that kills the battery) i have another battery that reads

Capacity: 97% (Good)
Current charge: 38.8 Wh
Last full charge: 47.5 Wh
Design charge: 48.8 Wh
Charge rate: 5.5 W

it is my battery for travel. the difference between the two is that the battery that reads Capacity: 29% (Poor) only lasts about 40 minutes but the battery that reads Capacity: 97% (Good) lasts 3 hours. you probably have a low Capacity.
