If you have put diesel in, disconnect supply pipe to injector and allow to drain, flush through with fresh petrol. Reconnect pipe and crank engine over, will take some time but should start, if it doesn't you may have to replace the spark plug, as the diesel will have gummed it up. Will smoke a bit when it starts but will clear. If you have just filled up with the wrong grade of petrol, just fill up with correct grade and run it through, shouldn't be a problem
It depends if you still have a pre mix tank already fitted. Mine came with the pre mix tank taken off. It is a white coloured container in a fairly flat shape on the 98 model which should be underneath the seat when you lift it. Not sure about newer models. It should have 2 stroke oil in (quite often pink). If not I have been advised to mix the 2 stroke with the petrol at about 50:1 ratio, however I would check with your local motorcycle shop or Aprilia dealer. Alternatively get a workshop manual for the correct year of bike and it will give you all the information you need in there. Also if the tank runs to empty it has to be bled otherwise if air is in the pre mix tank it can cause damage to the engine.
can anyone give me fuel consumption figures for the Aprilia Atlantic 125?
Also can someone advise me where I can get a new front screen and a new front yoke?
I get around a 118 miles to £5.00 worth of petrol that is what it usualy costs to fill the tank when it hits the start of thr red. ,
