1983 gl1100 aspencade. It has digital speedometer

1983 gl1100 aspencade. It has digital speedometer and tripometer but odometer is analog. The speedometer reads 0 and the tripometer is not advancing nor is the odometer. Is this all controlled by the speed sensor on the front wheel?
