I bought a 52 reg vauxhall astra ( stolen recovered ) very cheap, i have took all the door locks out to replace and need to replace the ignigtion barrel, problem is i have locked the steering wheel in place like when you take the keys out..How do i remove the steering wheel locking pin to release the steering wheel until i need to put it back????? Try the following in this order 1) Try all locks on all doors with key 2) Try all locks with spare key. 3) Remove window weather strip if possible and use a hooked wire, such as a coat hanger and force it down, beside the window into the door and fish around for the catch mechanism and pull.
more like the rubbers are old and the hatch door needs resetting as the hasp at the bottom and the lock can move where people slam them ,it bends the door jam and all sorts of things ,dont you mean opel astra ?' thought the name vauxhall died a death years ago
Pull each fuser out if the fuse box lid doesn't show a cig on the fuse lid and see if it's blown. Replace the blown fuse. If all the fuses look good trace the lighter back to the inline fuser and replace.
YOU WILL MOST LIKLEY TO REMOVE THE WHOLE SEAT BACK TO REPLACE A PART OF BACK REST AND UNCLIPP THE LOWER PART, THERE WILL BE A LOT OF TENTION ON FABRICWHICH YOU WILL HAVE TO PUSH DOWN ON TO RELEASE
