How do I adjust the rocker arm bolts for the valve lash on a 1985 Nissan 720 pick up Z24 engine

Guys he has a Z24, Not KA24, Z24 for one, Is carbed and has older lifters and valves. They need to be tuned to spec within a certain specific limit and the cams must be rotated in certain positions when doing different valves, etc... Shouldnt take very long normally and its not a hard process but if you have a tick, you really should get it checked out. Btw, the Z24 engine's idle isnt controlled by ecu at all or else the carb wouldnt need an idle adjustment screw.

I have installed a used carb.,new cap, rotor, plugs, fuel control relay, used dist. The same problem still exists.Under 1000 rpm the vehicle sometimes stalls. It fires back up,sometimes with a backfire and seems...

you blew your head gasket, water leaking into cylinder, when you let the car sit, it cools water seeps into cylinder. you drive it around it warms up, water evaporates, the metal expands due to heat. water stops leaking into cylinder and car feels to run normal again.

1985 Nissan 720 ext. cab pickup problem

You need to adjust the automatic choke. Your choke may not be opening fully. There is a fast idle cam linked to the choke to keep the throttle open more until the engine is warm. The idle mixture screw is part 37 in the picture, but get the choke adjusted right first, and you may not have to adjust the mixture screw. See adjustment procedures at link beloe.

1985 720 truck 2.4 (z24) need picture where spark plug wires go

You have the NAPS Z (nissan anti performance system haha) emissions engine. the dual plugs provide a hot spark for exhaust gas reburn and lowered tailpipe emissions. both plugs fire at the same time.
It is not really a good engine platform for high performance modification as its limited by the NAPS Z cross flow cylinder head design, its best to leave them mostly stock. I have owned several of the 720 king cab pu's and can attest to their durability, fuel economy, and reliability when properly tuned and maintained.

Need diagram of firing order for 1985 nissan pickup 720

The firing order on an in-line four cylinder engine is 1-3-4-2, with cylinder 1 being the closest to the radiator in a rear wheel drive, or the closest cylinder to the alternator, power steering, AC pulleys for a transverse mounted engine. Please don't forget to rank this solution.
