Problem for Moto Guzzi 1983 V 50 III

When I press the starter button nothing happens.

When I press the starter button nothing happens. I rigged up a wire from the starter to the battery to get it started so the starter functions. I heard the problem might be a ''relay switch''.

VERY WELL COULD BE. FIND THE STARTER RELAY AND JUMP ACROSS THE 2 BIG WIRES. MAKE SURE THE BIKE IS IN NEUTRAL AND THE SWITCH IS ON. THE BIKE SHOULD START. IF NOT, THE RELAY WILL NEED REPLACING.
