How to change spark plugs on a 2005 vstar 1100

How do I change spark plugs on a 2005 Yamaha vstar 1100 classic silverado. Do I really need to remove seats, tank, air filter and carb assembly as per manual?

- You do not need too. All you need is to pull off the chrome covers from the rubber mounts by hand. You then need a plug socket with a universal joint and a six to eight inch extension. Had old out and new installed in under ten minutes. Leave your tank and all that other stuff on!!! 2005 vstar 11oo classic silverado

yes all that must come out or you can't reach the plugs.
