How to change the headlights?

Hi there, here are some few tips to assist you:
  • Remove the center cover and the screws attached to the radiator grille. Pull the radiator grille out of the engine compartment and set it on the ground.
  • Use a T30 Torx screwdriver to remove the two primary retaining screws from the headlight assembly. Make a note of each screw's original location--they're not interchangeable, so you'll need to put them back in the right slot to reassemble the light.
  • Draw the headlamp assembly away from the car and then disconnect the electrical wiring connector.
  • Release the wire clip on the back of the headlight assembly and remove the cover.
  • Disconnect headlight electrical connector and turn the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it from the assembly. Install the new bulb, replace the cover and reattach the electrical connector.
  • Reconnect the headlight assembly wiring connector. Test the new bulb to make sure it works before replacing the retaining screws and radiator grille.
Hope these help. Please rate me if they do.

How to put in a headlight on a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer

Hello,
Please follow the stepwise solution carefully.
1.Open the hood and disconnect the truck's negative battery cable.
2.
Remove the grille. Unbolt and remove the plastic panel over the radiator, then use a flat screwdriver to release the clips securing the grille at the bottom to the headlight panel and lift the grill off.

3.
Pull up the retaining tabs for the headlight housing, which are on opposite ends, and carefully pull the housing out. Remove the park/turn signal bulb socket from the housing by detaching the holders and electrical connectors and disconnect the side marker socket.

4.
Take off the circular access cover from the rear of the headlight housing. Twist the bulb in a counterclockwise direction, withdraw the bulb with its electrical connector from the housing and disconnect the electrical connector.

5.
Hold the new bulb by the holder--do not touch the glass--as you connect the electrical connector. Place the bulb in the housing and twist it clockwise to lock it in place. Close the access cover.

6.
Install the headlight housing into the panel, connecting the electrical connectors, signal bulb socket and side marker socket. Push the retaining tabs in place.

7.Reinstall the grille and plastic radiator panel and reconnect the negative battery cable.

Problem solved.

Take care.

How do i change a headlight

1.FACE THE VEHICLE SO THAT BATTERY IS ON YOUR RIGHT;

2. REMOVE THE BLACK PLASTIC PIECE THAT RUNS OVER RADIATOR BETWEEN HOOD LATCH AND FAN. IT IS ABOUT 53 1/2" LONG AND HOLDS THE HOOD PROP CLIP. (3 PLASTIC PUSH RETAINERS & 2 SHEET METAL SCREWS);

3. REMOVE THE GRILL ASSEMBLY UNDERNEATH THE PIECE IN STEP 2 BY PUSHING DOWN FIRMLY ON 4 RETAINER CLIPS WHICH RUN ALONG THE TOP. USE A WIDE SLOT SCREWDRIVER. PULL UP GENTLY ON GRILL ASSEMBLY. IT WILL POP OUT. THE GRILL ASSEMBLY EXTENDS UNDER EACH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY (HA) AND IT DISPLAYS THE CHEVROLET LOGO IN THE MIDDLE. MY GRILL ASSEMBLY POPPED OUT EASILY AND ALL THE OTHER RETAINER CLIPS ON THE BOTTOM AND BENEATH AND TO THE SIDE OF HA WERE AUTOMATICALLY RELEASED WITHOUT ANY FUSS;

4. ON TOP OF HA SEE ONE TAB (ABOUT 1" LONG)ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND ONE ON THE LEFT (THE ONE ON L IS CLOSER TO THE FENDER);

5. PULL UPWARD DIRECTION ON TABS. THEY WILL SLIDE UPWARD A COUPLE OF INCHES AND WILL RELEASE THE HA WHICH YOU CAN THEN PULL OUT TOWARDS YOU;

6.AT BACK OF THE HA, REMOVE 2 ROUND RUBBER CAPS (ABOUT 4" IN DIAMETER)--ONE FOR LOW BEAM--ONE FOR HIGH. REVEAL BULBS. UNSNAP THE WIRE HARNESS FROM BULB BASE AND TURN BULB 1/4 TURN CLOCKWISE (REMEMBER YOU ARE FACING THE TRUCK)

7.REPLACE BULB(S). #9006 BULB IS GRAY-BASE, FOR HIGH BEAM ON OUTSIDE. #9005 IS BLACK-BASE, LOW BEAM TO INSIDE OF HIGH BEAM.

CHANGING HIGH AND LOW AND REASSEMBLY TOOK ABOUT HALF HOUR. GOOD LUCK.

ALTERNATIVE:
IF YOU ARE REPLACING THE PASSENGERSIDE HEADLIGHT JUST REMOVE THE AIR FILTER COVER AND PULL PLUG OUR FROM BEHIND HEADLIGHT AND REPLACE. BE CAREFUL HANDLING LIGHT BULB.
TO CHANGE THE ONE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE JUST REACH IN FRONT OF THE BATTERY TO ACCESS THE PLUG AND HEADLILGHT. TOOK ABOUT 5 MINUTES. ENJOY YOU TRAILBLAZER, GREAT TRUCK.

How to install headlamp on a 2002 chevy trailblazer

To change a headlight bulb in the 2002 Trailblazer: I writing this with the orientation of standing in front of and facing the Trailblazer.
Open the hood.
Remove the plastic cover that goes from the left to right over the headlight bracket, radiator, etc. It has 4 plastic pop retainers and 2 sheet metal screws. Remove the grill center bar that passes in front of both headlights. The grill and center bar come off as one piece. Start at one end and carefully pry it out, a little at a time. There are 2 clips at the headlight and 2 clips near the center top of the grill and 2 at the bottom. Two more in the other headlight.
Each headlight has 2 black metal clips that hold the assembly onto the bracket. One is above and behind headlight assembly, towards the right end if you're working on the left headlight (and visa-versa), and the other is under the fender (it pulls up OK, but may take some patience to push it back down when you're done).
Pull the entire headlight assembly forward. I only moved mine an inch or two. On the back of the assembly are round rubber covers. Pull off the one covering the back end of the bulb that needs changing. reach in and turn to bulb clockwise 1/4 turn and it will slip out.
Unhook the connector from the bulb. It has a little catch on it, otherwise it just pulls out.
Connect the new bulb.
Reassemble everything in reverse order.
As I said, the under fender clip that holds the headlight assembly on to the bracket may take some patience. It seemed to slip down OK once I had it in exactly the right position. Either that I needed to reach the required amount of cussing.
Good Luck...

How do i install a new headlight assembly on a 1999 lexus lx470?

Simply remove the plastic cover over the headlights and radiator. This is easy to remove by removing the plastic clips. On the headlamp assembly, there are three bolts that need to removed, two under the plastic cover and one at the top of the fender. Once this is done, gently pull it out, it will tend to hold onto the fender as it is grooved to do this...then reverse the steps to reinstall the headlight assembly

How to change the headlight

pg 5-43 in your drivers manual tells you how. You just need to remove the 2 hex bolts on top, then grab the whole assembly and pull it at an angle up, and towards the radiator. after you release the assembly you'll see the wire for the headlamp, Disconnect the bulb base from the wireing harness by lifting the plastic tab, remove the black retainer by turning it counterclockwise. Turn the bulb socket for the headlamp counterclockwise to remove. Do everything in reverse to put it back together.
