Hi,

Short answer is no... If you use a wax on the fabric of any goretex product you will effectively kill the breathability.

Is the boot leaking? If so then there is a tear in the gore lining which is not fixable. It would cost more than a new pair of boots..

If it's to make the outer fabric repel water better then the best I know of is from the NikWax range. They do a lot of spray on repellants that are designed for gore products.
I take it these boots are soft and flexible for the bike, yeah? In that case you probably want to look at the repellants designed for clothing rather than those for footware...

Either way, here's NikWax's site for info, not all shops will stock the whole range but if they are good they can advise you.. If you're not sure then walk away because using the wrong product on these boots could adversly affect their performance and ruin the look of them.. Sometimes store staff will try to get you to buy what they have in stock rather than getting you what you need..

Hope this helps..

Dropped a blob of vanilla icecream on new unsprayed leather boots. I havenot touched the boot since.

How to Remove Ice Cream Stains

Quoting from link above:

Remove Ice Cream Stains From:

Leather
Gently scrape any excess ice cream from the leather. Mix a solution of mild soap in lukewarm water. Swish to create a great volume of suds. Apply only the foam with a sponge. Wipe with a clean dry cloth. If a grease stain remains, powder the area with an absorbent, such as cornmeal. Give it plenty of time to work. Gently brush the stain off the leather. If after trying the cornmeal absorbent any trace still remains, try a leather cleaner, Tannery Vintage Leather Cleaner & Conditioner. Rub it in with a clean soft cloth and allow to dry. After either method, condition the leather with Tannery Vintage Leather Cleaner & Conditioner or Fiebing's Saddle Soap.

Use a thick wax, like one for detailing a vehicle. Rub it in lightly until surface I'd covered then use a microfiber rag to clean the wax off

You need to use a Teflon foot for leather, and you might also want to use wax paper both on top and bottom. Leather sticks, and you have to overcome that. Also, you might want to use a leather needle.

How can i get my expensive shoe to shrink without ruining the leather or the boot itself?

I'm a leather worker, but I'm afraid there is no solution to this other than to wear a like a sock or something with these boots. Once it's stretched... it would take some serious measures to make it go back... often with disastrous results.

How do I clean my Timberland Stormbuck (Nubuck) shoes?

  • Purchase cleaning products and brushes directly from Timberland. Their products are designed for suede, leather and nubuck.
  • Go to a shoe store like Footlocker and ask for the products they carry to clean your Timberland boots. Some sell kits and others carry suede erasers to clean the boots.
  • Wet a rag and wipe it all over the surface of the shoe. Spray on shoe cleaner and rub gently with a sponge. Rinse and let dry. Timberlands dry quickly.
  • Use a soft brush to scrub away excess dirt. Hold the boot over steam as you scrub.
  • Try baby wipes to clean your leather Timberland boots. They'll moisturize the leather and clean off grime.
  • Put your boots on, and use a wet rag as though you were giving yourself a shoe shine. Finish the spots you couldn't reach with a brush.
  • Use mink oil or saddle soap on leather boots. Both will keep the boots waterproof. Work either into the leather with a soft rag.

What parts do i need to service my honda s2000

Change your engine oil with 10W30 every 4,000kms. Change your transmission oil with Honda MTF every 6 months. Change your Differential Oil with 75W90 every 6 months. Check the tire pressure every month. Treat the top with a quality vinyl top protectant often (I use Ragg Topp brand). Wash & wax painted surfaces often. Treat the leather interior with UV protectant designed for convertible top cars (I use Wolfgang brand).

That's all I can think of!
