Hi there, I have a 1995 model dr 250se and I am not sure what to line the cam gear marks up to. The piston is at the tdc mark. There is more than one mark on the cam gear and the number 1 is in one spot and the numbers 2&3 in another spot. Can you help me please?!
Without looking at it, I could only recommend that you go off the cam lobes themselves. Or, another way I do it is to put a finger on each rocker and turn the camshaft backwards and forwards with a spanner. What you are looking for is a point where one is going up, and the other going down. Just keep going backwards and forwards, trying your best to pick the middle point of this action. Then line it up with the nearest mark. Often they will have an ignition timing mark and a TDC mark. Not sure what the third one would be though.
I have a suzuki 250 engine (no frame) only. Stamp on motor says J402-107783. Any help identifing...
