Look for a crack in the spark plug, wire,etc...may be getting hot and a crack is expanding causing you to loose spark at times, i have even seen the reeds do this.

The previous owner of my kx85 2004 had lowered the mono shock how do I adjust it so the bike will sit higher

ok, its been a while, but if i remember right, on one end of the shock you should see a series of "notches". what you'll need is a spanner wrench to rotate the shock until it catches on the right "notch" for the ride hight you want. hope this helps

Kawasaki ninja 636 won't start, removed seat and tank to replace battery. Engine turns over, but does not fire. Was started 2 months ago.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

On your post "...does not fire..." initial checks would be for:
  • consistent IGN + 12 on the red wire going to all the ignition coils even when cranking;
  • pulsating voltage on the other wire of each ignition coil coming from the ECU when cranking.

Incidentally, if the bike has been sitting for 2 months, you may want to check quality of fuel and/or replace it. Further checks maybe required on the fuel delivery system. Try of a quick fix would be adding / spraying injector cleaner.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
