My 2000 hyundai sonata blew an upper radiator hose. I replaced it and it still is overheating . What is the problem

Overheating could be due to a restriction in a cooling passage, a problem with the water pump, or a blown head gasket.
If you get way too much pressure in the cooling system, even before the engine is warm, try a cylinder compression test. It's probably a warped head or blown gasket (or both).
If the compression test seems fine, you should reverse flush the system to try dislodge any restrictions.

If a head gasket has blown in say nissan pulsar 97 what else could go wrong or may need some attention.. tia

Well if you keep driving on a blown head gasket, one of many things could happen.
1. The engine's cylinder heads will eventually get so overheated they will warp (aluminum will do that). When that happens you are going to have to replace the engine altogether.

2. The rods will get thrown and cause seriously internal damage to the engine. In extreme cases can cause a fire and explosion.

3. Your engine could seize up from overheating due to damaged piston rings, burned and bent valves, etc...

In short nothing good will come of driving with a blown head gasket.
Get it fixed ASAP.

My 2002 celica gts over heated due to a falty thermastat. Now the engine will roll but will not start is their a fail safe?

There isn't a fail safe that i have ever seen. How hot did it get? You may have done damage to the head gasket. Dose it sound the same when trying to start?

Over heat

If the head gasket goes water is allowed to seep into the cylinders and then out of the exhaust.

Once the level has dropped enough the car overheats

Or the water is pressurised in the radiator from the compression of the engine and it is forced out of the overflow leading to coolant loss and overheating

check your radiator for blockage, and have your cylinder block check for blockage. If everything is ok there. it could be the cylinderhead gasket has blown, and need's replacing.

Check to see if any of the hoses are kinked. Its also vary commen for new termostats to fail. If its not that then more then likely its the water pump.
