I believe theres 2 small bolts under front of seat...if you pull the cushion back you should see them. Remove the 2 bolts and the front of the seat can lift up....then slide the seat forward as there is a plastic tab that holds the rear of the seat into a slot. The seat should lift off once the tab is clear.
Remove the saddlebag lids, undo the 2 bolts just behind the shocks, one on each side of the seat. These are the only bolts that hold the seat on. Lift the rear of the seat about 6 inches to release the front tangs. Raise the front to the vertical and remove the 2 air lines from the front right side of the base and the one at the rear. Seat should now be clear of things attaching it to the bike. Join the worldwide Yahoo email group for these bikes via www.suzukicavalcade.com and ask some more questions.
Two bolts, one either side of the lower rear of the seat, you have to remove both lids from the saddlebags (panniers) to gain access to them. Once undone, lift the rear and pull the front of the seat backwards. There is two plastic "pins" that secure the front of the seat in position. With the Gt, you don't have to worry about the airlines to the seat, on the LX there is one airline to the rear of the seat and on the LXE there is the one at the rear and two at the right front side.
Normally one bolt in the back and the pillion slides into the driver seat. Pulling back on the pillion after removal of the hold down bolt usually releases it
A bolt is underneth the driver seat at rear. Hard to see. Maybe pull off driver seat first the rear seat - be sure you are using a soft saddlebag
support. Don't get bags caught in wheel
I've got a 2007 Shadow and recently put on a set of saddlebags. What you do is use a large allen wrench or star wrench on the seat strap to take out those two bolts, and then you slide the seat towards the back of the bike (or perhaps you need to slide it to the front, I forget, its just the "picture-hanging" connection, <=0 is the shape of the hole on the seat, and on the bike beneath it is a peg, with the seat hole large enough to slide the peg through, but once you shift the seat to its natural position the head of the peg is at a place too narrow to come off, hence the sliding motion to remove it) . Then it is smooth sailing, just lay your saddlebags over the peg with the seat removed, and try and put the seat back without disrupting the bags too much, which can be hard since its a pretty snug fit. Hopefully that helped, I don't know if the request was talking about post market support frames or something
