Black oil needs to be changed immediately. It's possible that even if the oil level is full, it's so thin and worn that it's tripping your Oil Light due to lack of oil pressure.

The Accord needs an oil and filter change.
The oil is too thick to flow properly.
Do not drive the car nor run the engine. You risk damaging the engine.
If you do not know or not want to change the oil and filter yourself, then walk to, or get a ride, or have someone go to an auto supply store and purchase a quart of light oil.
Add a (red) can of "Mystery Oil", or Casite Engine Tuneup, or some other light oil to the engine. Drive to an oil change shop in your immediate area.

Hi,
You didn't mention if the oil level was ok. I will assume that it is... I don't know how often you change the oil in your vehicle, but it sounds as if it could use one.
It is recommend that you change the oil at every 5000 miles. Some people live by the 3000 miles theory. Some newer vehicle are even recommended at every 7500 miles, but I think that is really pushing the oil. I change mine at 5000 miles and I also use synthetic oil, but that is a personal preference also.
Hope this helps... Good luck!

Got a 98 honda accord just changed out vtec sensor on it and it still lags and engine light and oil light are still on any ideas anybody ?

VTEC engines use some oil. A low oil level will cause the engine to go into "stumble mode" and the CEL to come on.

Check the oil level.

I have a 1997 honda accord lx 6 cylinder 24 valve engine that the check engine light is on and the D4 light was blinking yellow and then now is blinking green. what could be the problem?

The check engine light comes on if there is an issue. But Honda also has preset the Check engine light to come on to remind you of oil changes. If you want to shut the Check engine light off. There is a Yellow Reset Button inside the Fuse panel.

Blinking Oil light. Despite plenty of oil.

It may mean you have any of the following:
