If your popping the solenoid on the starter. then it is wore out or seizing up. i think it's time to replace the starter. i had that same problem with a 1987 monticarlo that had headers heating up the starter. so i did the screwdriver starting bit and it was not fun.

Hi, Frank and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Tip over sensor needs a reset.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.

Turn the ignition to start, and a relay clicks under the dash. Wire solenoid relay direct from battery, the solenoid engages and the starter runs. Check relay under the dash? Other suggestions?

First thing I would do is to pull all the fuses and relays, one at a time. Replace any bad fuses you find. Pulling them will get rid of any corrosion problems they may have.

My 1992 Bayou atv 350 sparks erratically. What do I test?

Popping thru the carb, usually means a blown gasket. The exhause gases are blowing thru the heads and back thru the intake.

2003 HyundaI Tiburon GT Diag No-Start

You could check for power on the small orange wire at the starter solenoid on the starter motor-with the key held in start position. Should have power there in start. If you do, take starter off to be tested. If no power, signal is lost between ignition switch and the solenoid. Next find the starter relay under the hood. Hold your finger lightly on it while someone turns the key to start. If you feel a click or movement, check orange wire from there to starter solenoid. If nothing at the relay, move to the starter clutch pedal position switch- a simple on/off switch-check for power to the switch with key held in start. With clutch pedal pressed, it should pass power on to the starter relay, with key in start. If you have no power at the clutch switch in start, between there and the ignition switch is the Burglar Alarm Relay and the BCM box. The start wire out of the ignition switch goes to the alarm relay, and another wire from relay goes to BCM (body control module) to activate the relay so power will pass from ignition switch to clutch switch. That's all, Nathan, pretty simple but then again, not...better invest in a test light or digital volt ohm meter (DVOM). Good for checking electrical circuits, hope its not the alarm or BCM.

2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 Battery died and Replaced also Starter still no start just loud click from new starter and does not turn over engine but can be push started by pop clutch and runs fine

Assuming you replaced the solenoid with the starter, it may be the relay. If the relay is not making a good connection, it might have trouble throwing the solenoid. The relay should be in the relay box under the hood. You can break the relay open and watch it work while someone turns the key to verify the problem.

sounds like the hi idle relay is going bad or could be the wires going toit are at points grounding out look for the obvious and even ck with a test light removing the plastic housing to ensure this maby remove the relay and clean it should be opposite the two acceleration cables or above it but ck the vacuum lines as well for possible dry rot a place to start 1 st

Kawasaki 300 bayou won't rev up.

No guarantees but try this. Pull the slide from the throat of the carb. Now move the clip on the jet needle down one notch. This will richen the low end mix. Two notches may be needed but do one notch at the start.
