Question about 1979 Honda CBX
I have rebuilt the carb on my 65honda ct90. I have experiance in rebuilding them but have'nt mastered adjusting it so it is perfect. It idles ok and revs ok but is running rich. little black smoke and black plug. can you help me adjust it/
The stock setting for the throttle screw and air screw is one and one half turns outward from a LIGHTLY seated position. Go to babbitts sports center.com and you may be able to see a parts diagram for your bike and get some parts as well. Click on buy OEM parts. Your bike is really old so I can't guarantee it will be listed. I am not at my home computer so I can not check for you at the moment. Check to see what main jet is stock in the bike. Someone may have played with the jets.
