Just about any solvent will work. Just remeber it must be completely try before you install and fire it up. Seriously if any solvent remains you could have a really bad week. You can use acetone, again be really careful. Hope this helps.

Sounds like the exhaust is clogged with carbon.Remove the silencer and dismantle it if you can and clean the pipe and baffles. This should help you.

It may need rebuilt maby it does not have enough compression to turn over i would suggest getting a compression test done at a local bike shop. If thats the case it most likely needs rebuilt.

My 1974 Yamaha 250 Enduro wont start I have cleaned and redone the carb. I have changed the coil pack and spark plug. Any suggestions will help Im not a mechanic by any means so not sure where to start...

you need good compression ( at least 90 psi , kicking it with the throttle open) , good crankshaft seals for sucking the fuel/air into the botton end, proper point gap and timing set for spark ( spark should be big and fat,if not the source coil is weak,, this is a flywheel magnito ignition and it needs no battery to fire the plug) if you clean the carb, make sure you also clean the choke pickup tube or it wont choke. also make sure you have the slide installed in the right direction ( not backwards and the idle is not set too high at first...compression/****-good spark at the right time-proper fuel/air ratio and it will run

What to change at 70.000km?

not very much realy,,,change the plugs,,,oil filter,,,fule filter,,,air filter,,,and engine oil,,,check gear box oil level,,,check clutch cable check all brake pads,,,check tyers,,, lube all grees points and oil all other parts that need to be lubed,, check battery,,then go around bike with a good tool kit to check nothing is hanging off or about to fall off !!! if your brave give the bike a realy good clean up and a good spot of polish wont hurt it (that the bit that makes your arms hurt)
all ways rember,,, a clean bike looks so much better after a crash than a dirty bike will ????????oooow!

Taking baffles out from standed exhaust

dont do it please,,the bike needs the right exhaust back presher to run right,,,you go taking out the baffles you change the back presher and the bike WILL SLOW DOWN!!!! and also run like a dog! burn out plugs, use twice as much fule unless you retune the carbs right, and sound like hell on earth, as well as going slower than it did! now think about this,,
is it realy worth it,,

1992 kawasaki Vulcan 750 stops running

Drain gas into container. Pull off your petcock and clean all the junk out (will look like coffee grounds). Look inside your tank for rust and scale, then clean it out thorougly.A small chain dropped inside works wonders for knocking **** loose inside that you can't see or reach. Check for an inline fuel filter between tank and carbs and replace if you have one. Reassemble and put in fresh Premium gas....Good luck to you friend....Tim
