the steering tie bar (goes from left to right steering brackets and makes the wheels steer together) should be straight. if it's bent, that is your problem.

Mower deck adjustment

you may have bent brackets in the front. These are the pieces that straddle front and back of the front axle beam. This happens when you hit things sticking up or on the side with the deck.
You also could have bent deck link bars (where you make height adjustment on the front).

Front axle stablizer

Every manufacturer calls them different names. i worked on trucks all my life and I would say stabilizer links or anti sway link. It is a Sears mower the model number should be under the hood kinda hidden on the side of the body. Google for a .pdf parts for that model.

My front wheels one is straight the other is turned out

Check your front axle the solid piece that goes from one front wheel to the other and attaches the front spindles and wheels. Your probably going to find the solid axle (which also goes underneath the front of the tractor) has been bent allowing that wheel to turn outward.

Hit fence and right front tire is towing out. how do you get the alignment right?

kevin plumag, you may have bent the tie rod. It's an easy fix: each end of the tie rod connects to the axle, keeping the wheels at the right distance. Each end of the tie rod has a small cotter pin. Remove the cotter pin (a washer will fall off), lift out the bent tie rod, and put a new one back in, reinstalling the washer and cotter pin on each end.If your tie rod is straight, something else is wrong (which is why I'm searching the boards!). You can order a tie rod from Sears; check your manual for the part number.

Front wheels on craftsman lawn tractor are in two different directions after hitting fence. The one that hit the fence is in a 45 degree angle and the other is straight, how can I realign these.

It depends on if you just bent the tie rod (the rod that goes between the wheels) or if you bent the spindle on the wheel that hit. Look under the front and see if the tie rod is straight. If not, take it off and straightened it. If it is straight, you probably bent the wheel spindle. But also check the axle on the end that hit to see if it is twisted.
