Question about 2006 Bajaj Bajaj Avenger

Where do I locate the oil strainer/centrifugal filter on the avenger for cleaning? Please

Just took delivery of this Avenger and was expecting a conventional paper oil filter which I wanted to replace along with an oil change before the regular first service. Was not familiar with centrifugal filtration system and seems after research I am best leaving it to the service people due to my limited mechanical knowledge. I dont know where the drain plug cam up in our conversation but locating that isnt a problem. Many thanks for your assistance.

The Bajaj Avenger is fitted with a centrifugal oil filter. Where is this located, so that I and others can clean it.

Hi, Dave for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. Engine

Do you have a yellow engine light showing on your dash?
If so, it is possible you have error code P2646.
Try going to a Advance Auto Parts store or Autozone store and have them read your error codes.
Very low oil levels can cause this. Try changing your oil
Faulty VTEC oil pressure switches or oil control solenoids - replace.
Clogged (or sludged) oil passages. Try cleaning or replacing the filter/strainer in the Valve Timing Solenoid (located on the back of the cylinder head on the passenger side enclosed in a L shaped heatshield with two electrical plugs on top). And the filter/strainer on the front passenger side of the engine. Watch this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PknGSpDsmiI it should help.

Changing oil in 2008 yz450f

I'm assuming the 450F oil system is the same as the 250F... all I do is drain through 3 spots - the bolt near the shifter, the frame bolt, and the filter cover. The only time I removed the "Y" shaped oil line thingie was when I put rings in my bike and decided to tear a bunch of stuff apart. I also removed the oil strainer in the frame at that time and had to have Red break loose the frame oil strainer bolt for me. He just used a big wrench and twisted it loose. To my surprise, I found pieces of tree/stick like stuff in the frame strainer.

For filters... I immediately went with a Scotts stainless steel filter. Yeah it's $80, but it'll be the last filter you buy as you can easily clean and reuse it. I figured the stock paper filters don't last too long, cost $10 to replace, and you have to worry about always having a spare.

Has the 85 Honda CBX250 got an oil filter, where is it?

The oil filter is located just above the dip stick/ oil mesuring stick.
The oil cover is held in place with three bolts.
The lower bolt has a spacer bewteen the cover and the engine.
