Yes the temperature will drop buddy as its allowing more water/coolant to be passed around the engine and thrue the raditor quicker just make sure its full of coolant and the system has been bleed before you put the coolant in. A colder running engine is better tbh bud get back to me if any probz.

I have a 2006 Buick Lucerne V6 code po128 comes up. What does it mean?

- Low engine coolant level
- Insufficient warm up time
- Faulty engine coolant temperature sensor
- Engine coolant temperature sensor harness is open or shorted
- Engine coolant temperature sensor circuit poor electrical connection

help.jpg What does this mean? When is the code detected? If the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects the calibrated amount of air flow and engine run time have been met, and the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) has not met the minimum thermostat regulating temperature, the code P0128 will set. Possible symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) P0128 Buick Description An Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor monitors the temperature of the coolant. This input is used by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) for engine control and as an enabling criteria for some diagnosis. The air flow coming into the engine is accumulated and used to determine if the vehicle has been driven within the conditions that would allow the engine coolant to heat up normally to the thermostat regulating temperature. If the coolant temperature does not increase normally or does not reach the regulating temperature of the thermostat, the diagnostic that use ECT as enabling criteria may not run when expected.

Regarding which thermostat to use, I am guessing it depends on where you live.

Ask these people when you order the thermostat.

Hi, Skoiko and the usual suspects are:
1. Wheels and or tires unbalanced, worn or damaged.
2. Engine/ transmission/vehicle not aligned properly.
3. Primary chain is badly worn or links are tight as a result of insufficient lubrication or misalignment.
4. Engine to transmission mounting bolts loose.
5. Upper engine mounting bracket loose.
6. Ignition timing incorrect/poorly tuned engine
7. Internal engine problem, flywheels shifted.
8. Broken frame.

This unit is 15 years old and the drain tube was never hooked up believe it or not and it leaked terribly with now a rusted out bottom. The unit works however and I was wanting to fix it. Can a new...

IF YOUR UIT IS IN FACT 15 YEARS OLD IT CAN NOT BE A WKL MODEL, WKL ARE DIGITAL UNITS, WHAT YOU HAVE IS A WK4000 WITH A SCREW TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT IN BETWEEN THE GRILLS.
A 15 YEAR OLD WK 4000 IS AN R-22 SYSTEM AND NOT WORTH REPAIRING AND IF THE METAL IS RUSTED YOU CAN NOT BUY MORE METAL BASES FOR THAT UNIT FROM THE MANUFACTURER, BREEZAIRE HAS DROPPED ALMOST ALL THE COMPONENTS FOR THE UNIT ONLY THINGS AVAILABLE ARE FANS,COILS AND THERMOSTAT.
BUY THE REPLACEMENT WKL4000 DIGITAL SAME DIMENSIONS AND COOLING CAPACITY.

Frigidaire side by side model# FRS6LR5EW6

Sounds like a defrost problem or a plugged drain... to get it to work temporary defrost the freezer. Unplug the refrigerator, open the door and get a blow dryer and warm up the freezer. wait until the water stop dripping out or about 12 to 24 hours and then you can plug it back in . it will work for 2 to 3 weeks.

To unplug the drain.defrost the freezer .remove the back cover. Use a pipe cleaner to clear the drain. pour a few cups of hot water down the drain.

The defrost systems is:
HEATER-DEFROST
THERMOSTAT-DEFROST
Adaptive defrost control
Start with the adaptive defrost control board. The fresh food section light switch and light bulb must work. To initiate a defrost cycle, open the door and push the light switch in and out 5 times within 6 seconds. The compressor and fans should shut off and the defrost heater should come on. Open the door and push the light switch in and out 5 times within 6 seconds to remove the refrigerator from the defrost mode and back into a cooling mode.
Frigidaire - referance model FSC23F7DSB3
This product comes equipped with an Adaptive Defrost Control (ADC). To activate manual defrost, press and hold the Freezer temperature UP (WARMER) key while pressing the Fresh Food temperature DOWN (COLDER) key 5 times within 6 seconds. A d in the freezer temperature window and F in the refrigerator temperature window will display when the heater is activated. To deactivate manual defrost, press and hold Freezer temperature UP (WARMER) key while pressing the Fresh Food temperature DOWN (COLDER) key 5 times within 6 seconds. d and F will be displayed until the defrost cycle is complete. (approx. 8 minutes)

Heater / Thermostat
You will have to remove the back panel of the freezer to check the heater for and thermostat for continuity. Heater are the lease likely part to go bad... I always change thermostat and timers together.
let me know if this helps or we can chat if you need more help.
