I'm not understanding the question, it sat for too long, then you started it and it broke a belt????????????
if that is correct, OUCH, that caused severe head damage.
do not rotate engine untill it can be checked !!!!!!!!
DUCATI BELTS SHOULD BE REPLACED EVERY 4 YEARS EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT RIDDEN !
