May I suggest a trip to your local library. Cycle repair books should be in 646 stacks of reference.

Should a 1997 kawasaki vulcan 800 have two hot wires in rear blinker module

Hi, Shannon not sure about this one you need to look at the wiring diagram in the back of your service manual for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Suzuki, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. Good luck and have a nice day.

I wonder what year model my Kawasaki 800cc Vulcan Classic is. The number on the steering head is: JKBVN800ABA 084339

Hello, it is either a 1981 model or 2011, you count the 10th digit in which is B and it is coded accordingly, if it was between 2001 and 2009 it would have the actual number, 7, meaning 2007!!!

How to see what year model my kawaski vulcan classic 800cc is

If the bike was built after 1980 it should have a 17 digit VIN number stamped on the steering head.
Copy it down, then count off the 10th character from the left.
The year will be....

A=1980 B=1981 C=1982 D=1983 E=1984 F=1985 G=1986 H=1987 J=1988

K=1989 L=1990 M=1991 N=1992 P=1993 R=1994 S=1995 T=1996

V=1997 W=1998 X=1999 Y=2000 1=2001 2=2002 3=2003 4=2004

5=2005 6=2006 7=2007 8=2008 9=2009 A=2010 B=2011

As you can see...they went back to reusing letters in 2010 again.
