I have kf150d -sx auger engine weak yellow spark

Yellow spark could mean a weak coil or bad condenser. Try replacing condenser first and be sure points are clean and adjusted. If does not have points, is electronic, clean the flywheel at the magnet on the flywheel and set the air gap to specs between coil pickup and magnet.

The bike is starting only with small plug gap.If we set the gap to original it wont start? tell me the reason?

.....A weak battery comes to mind for starters. A carboned up spark plug is another; start with a new spark plug. If I recall correctly from 39 years ago, your bike has ignition points and condenser. Remove the points cover (on left end of the overhead cam), and check the points. Burned? Pitted? Get a new set of points and condenser but for now, just file the points a bit using an emery board or metal fingernail file. Set the points to .015 clearance at the high point on the cam lobe. If you have a timing light you could check the timing and adjust as needed by rotating the points base plate left or right. Bad points give resistance to the flow of electricity. When the points are closed, the condenser gets charged up. Less electricity going through the points means less of a charge going into the condenser. Now the points open up and the stored charge goes from condenser to coil. The coil then produces a spark. With a low charge in the condenser, the spark is weak and will not jump a wide gap. Set the plug gap to very little and the weak spark can jump the gap. The standard gap is .028. ....... I don't recall when Honda move the points to the flywheel but the images below may help if your bike is that style. Clean any rust on noted parts; magnets and pick up coils. Okay, now I have done my part. Now you gotta do yours; please rate my answer. Thanks! tombones49_177.giftombones49_178.gif

1980 Toro 11/32 snowblower. Has no spark, just took shroud off and removed spark plug module. Can't figure out where that skinny wire goes to behind the flywheel? And how do we get to it to change module

If I am reading this right(1980) machine is that the year? That wire is going to the points. You have to remove the flywheel to get to them. They are usually the problem not the coil. (usually). If this is a solid state ignition that wire goes to the kill switch. Again flywheel has to come off to get to it. This can be a pain in the neck. I here toro is this a tecumpse motor? without a flywheel puller it can be a pain. I have broken a few flywheels before investing in a puller. Hope this helps.

8 hp tecumseh with old type ignition (points, etc) I intalled a new coil, condenser, points, plug, but get no spark at all. Cannot find the problem.

Make sure the flywheel key is a new one. use .020 brass or non metalic shim stock to space the coil away from the flywheel, set the points to be about .016 - .018 when fully open and make sure the ground wire on the coil is not grounded to anything.

I have a honda g300 7hp engine that has no spark engine was going but has sat for a few years have changed plug but no differnce

Does this G300 have an oil alert switch??? If so, make sure it is on and verify engine oil level is full. Other wise, the switch will prevent the coil from sparking. If you find that the switch is faulty, you can by-pass it.

Take the coil off clean with sand paper then get a piece of cardboard from a cereal box or cigarette box, put the piece of cardboard in between the coil and the magnetic strip on the flywheel ''believe it or not it is the perfect gap'' 'let the magnet pull the two together'' then tighten the coil down. if still no spark get a new coil.
