Why does my 2007 Crf 450x start but wont stay running

I don't know the CRF 450X, but my Helix had a solenoid that shut off the gas automatically when the ignition was turned off, and did the same when the wire came off the solenoid. Sometimes those solenoids fail, too, and replacing them is the only option. If the wiring is good (test it first!!!) you can tell a bad solenoid by holding your hand on it and turning the ignition on and off. If you don't feel a thump, it's bad.

The carb has a bypass that allows the throttle to squirt fuel into the carb when you roll on the throttle. That will get the bike to start even if the fuel solenoid has blocked the main flow. Then, of course, the bike dies as soon as the fuel from the accelerator pump is gone.

Other possibilities include sludge in the tank, a plugged fuel filter, or too much water in the gas. If any of those happen, StarTron can sometimes eat the sludge and nutralize the water and get you going. I like SeaFoam a lot but StarTron works better for me.

Good luck!

I just bought a 450 a few weeks ago and it ran fine for a while then one day on the way home it seemed like it was running out of gas. Being only a few blocks away from the house I went directly home. When...

fuel petcock screen may b clogged or u may have a soft fuel line n it's collapsing. drain tank n remove petcock n replace fuel lines it's a good idea to do every year with this crappy gas these days it eats everything.

What fruits should I eat after my workout?

After exercise, your body needs specific nutrients to repair muscle and stabilize blood sugar. So you can have something from the following:
1. Whole-wheat wrap with turkey and veggies.
2. Almonds and an orange.
3. Smoothie made with avocado, berries, and protein powder.
4. Salmon mixed with olive oil, celery, and grapes.
5. Eggs with black beans and bell peppers.

How to start a honda crf150f in cold weather

The way I start any of my bikes in cold weather is turn on the choke and once its turned on and run for 1 minute or so turn it off and warm your bike up. For the first few mins of riding don't go too extreme, since the cold air can cool your bike down quickly.

04 crf 450 starts hard most times we have to push start it but after that it starts fairly easy.

crf honda's run titanium valves which wear out very quickly if valve clearances not checked very regularly. what happens is the valve wears on its sealing face and clearances close up and then valve rides and looses compression, much like a leaking tap. bike will make more compression and valves will try to seal when warm. i probably rebuild one of these bikes a week with this problem. get it to your dealer and have clearances done. you can get stainless steel valve conversion kits which are much cheaper than honda titanium valves.

Iv got a 2005 yz 250 stock whats the best way to hot it up

hot it up? you mean make it go faster ? wow it's a realy quick bike right out of the box if the bike seems to be lacking power easy check is the air filter ...pristeen like so clean you would eat off it? 2005 ...when was the last time the top end was done ? about every 30 hrs for a two stroke half of that if you are racing it by racing I mean getting on a motocross track and riding with other guys about your skill level till you have arm pump that makes you wish you had stayed home. if the above conditions have been met then a pipe is probably your most logical choice don't wast time and money on the engine making it high compression and needing race fuel 100++ octane is a total waste for all but the elite riders and it makes the bike unreliable and fussy "like a hot blonde pretty to look at but high maintence" Good Luck & Ride safe

Water flows out from the hole below the water pump cover

seal is going bad, as the other post stated. IF your bike is older than 2005 then replace the water pump impeller with an 06 model or drill a 3mm hole in between 2 fins. without the hole the impeller builds too much pressure on the back side pushing water through the seal.

02 crf450r starts up fine.... let choke off then

I have a crf 250 R and i have learned multiple things about these bikes like if you leave it running and not riding it for about ten min. it will over heat. they love race gas 113 octane, and alot more. but your prob sounds strange. i know if you hold the hot start while its runing it pops that could be a problem. or it could be you are not cleaning the bike out i would need to know more about this to give a definate answer but try going over the bike. Look at key parts like the
carb
air cleaner
fuel line
any thing that is nesessary for the bike to run.
