ok, why not correct your first post
edit to
1: will not crank starter is silent
2: or cranks fast but will not start.

you cant get to 2 unless #1 works,
check fuses first.
key on CEL glows, if not ECU has no power. 12vdc.
when you crank
the ECU closes the ASD relay
if the relay drops out in the middle of cranking
that means the ECU did that ON PURPOSE
and always tells you why, but that takes a scan too.
why not let your mech do that,
you dont have tools so, its hopeless , for sure.
I bet.

IF the ASD does not drop OUT
then it's what?
total loss of spark (a bad spark coil ?)
or total loss of fuel pressure.

if sparks ok (a simple test done for 100 years)
endless examples, and in all car books.
if sparks ok
then a test fuel test runs engine for 2 sec. about, telling you lost fueling
and then I post a wall of text on fueling (yah complex. and not doing it)

Have a 2003 rav4 with 170,000+ miles on it. Have always maintained it and took it only to dearlership for maintenance. This week it died twice while sitting at light. Then was able to start back up. ...

1st nevr bring it to a dealer--help is not that xperiencd and their scanners dont work w older cars-----ur symtoms are throttl area--either its dirty or the tps is bad or the idle air passage blockd/motor-worn out---if computer bad-car would go haywire like lites flashn in dash or othr components not functionin--they du wear out but usually their made to last-- injector drivers failure is usually the reason to replace--u dont seem to have fuel/pump issues

No electricity spark plugs 4,00 liter

check all fuses first, every time, something fails EFI.
the scan tool will tell you why 90 % of time.
connect scan tool
key on
crank for 5 seconds, see scan tool show 300 RPM? about.
good, no RPM is bad sensor (Cmp or ckp)
release key , do not turn off yet
see DTCs stored, now, bingo, its telling you what is bad. OMG.
p0340/ 355? and the like? are bad CMP, bad CKP, or others get em
post em or look them up in the FSM. or at alldata.com
Theory:
the ECU creates spark
there are the 2 sensors that tell the ECU when to spark (inputs)
and the ECU DRIVER the ignition IGNOTOR, that runs the ignition coil.
1 coil or 6 coils. depends on year.
4.0L I6 Jeep engines.

did you check for spark directly at the 1 coil car or at all 6 coils for 6 cop coil cars?

cops are coil over park plug, i think your car is 1 coil, had a 99 jeep.
and this old six still had one, coil, so does this one coil make spark
to a test spark plug, Y/N
if yes, the dizzy cap is bad or wired wrong. to plugs.
I no spark here, do the DTC scans above.!!!!!
post back results.

Model 917.370410 won't start

Sounds to me like this model is a POS. I also have this same model, purchased last August have used only 5 or 6 times , has the same symptoms: hard pull, puff of smoke, won't run , etc. Even brought this to an authorized dealer to get it to run, but then it only ran a couple more times, dead again. Does anyone know of any recalls fro this lemon? I can appreciate everyone troubleshooting , but you shouldn't have to tear apart a 5 month old lawnmower which will only result in your warranty being voided.

Engine seems to be misfiring, had 6 sets of injectors rereplaced by isuzu dealers, now they say it may be the rail pressure control valve, what is that item, if so how do you fix it or do i have to go back...

In my opinion they should have test drove the car after replacing the injectors they would of found that the vehicle lacked power and wound have finished fixing it. This is not all the dealers fault. Parts and labor being as expensive as they are they fixed the miss but not the lack of power, And since you or they did not know the regulator was bad the mechanic brought mistrust on your part by doing a dis-service by not road testing it after repair to confirm it was fixed. This is not a rip off just didn't complete the job. Had they found the fuel rail regulator bad you may have thought they were trying to jack up the prices to so it's a catch 22. Darned if you do darned if you don't. The fuel regulator will not cause a miss just a lack of power.
