Get a hammer and gently tap the top of the starter(it's at the very front of the motor on the bottom sticking out). It sounds like the starter one-way clutch which runs about $70 not including labor. . . good luck!!

124 CC four wheeler clicks motor, wont turn over

If the quad has an electric starter and you hear a loud click but the starter motor is not turning the engine there may be a couple of things going on. First charge the battery. Once charged try starting again, if the same symptoms take battery to a motorcycle dealer and ask them to load/drop test it. If they say it's okay, then you may have a mechanical issue such as a sized engine, hydrolically locked piston or other such problems. Most likely your issue is with the battery.

I have a yamaha breeze quad. The battery went too low for my 'smart charger' ( 11.4v ) to charge it up, so I connected to a leisure battery reading 12.8v to start up the quad. The ignition light came on...

Go through all the wiring and strip all the points and rewrite all of them you can't really blow anything on those quads seen as they have no fuses so I'd say it's just a bad connection somewhere hope that helps!

Yamaha breeze 125 wont start.have checked spark plug & cleaned carb.My son got it bogged down pretty good in a mud & after we got it out it wouldnt start. What else could be the problem?

Have you checked for spark? That's where you need to go to first. Take out the plug, put it back on the plug wire and hold it against the cylinder head. Kick over the motor and watch for spark.

Yamaha Grizzly 350. After riding for twenty or so

These quads have a thermostat-controlled radiator fan, which won't turn on until the engine is hot. Perfectly normal. Also, if the fan comes on, make sure you use the kill switch to turn the quad off, rather than just turning the key. This allows the engine to cool properly and will save your engine gaskets and other parts. It could take quite a while to cool 2009 Grizzly sure does.

Won't Start, sounds like it is not getting enough

Hi, have you tried turning the fuel off & undoing the drain screw in the bottom of the carby bowl to get rid of water etc? If you do it, turn the fuel back on for a few seconds to flush it through. Also check the airfilter's no blocked with dirt etc or too much oil if foam type. Also, try giving the side of the carby bowl a light tap, incase the needle valve's stuck shut. Hope this helps :)
