There are too many screws on the carbs, of which there are 4 of them, to be able to answer your question.
Here is a diagram of your carbs. If you could identify which screw you are asking about, then I could answer your question.

Need to know the proper routing of vacuum lines on 69 olds carburator

Standing in front of the car, the lower left vacuum port on the carb goes to the distributor. The upper left port goes to the vacuum switch for the secondaries. The brake booster screws into the rear base of the carburator. The transmission kickdown plugs into a nipple on the rear of the intake manifold.

Idle screw

Hi Anymous, first make sure you have free play on the throttle pull cable, then squirt brake kleen or WD-40 around intake manifold to head area, if idle goes up then you have an intake leak and seals need to be replaced. If every thing is ok then the idle set screw is a brass knurled screw with a spring behind it on the right hand side of carbureator just above the float bowl. Adust RPM to 950-1,000 Good luck

Idling too high

Hi Anonymous, if you have a carburator there is an idle adjusting screw on the right hand side of the carburator. If you are injected you need a scanalizer. Also check for leaky intake seals. Good luck

Loose Carburator

If the carb mounting screws are tight then it is likely that the entire cylinder assembly is loose ( this is common) and the cylinder to crankcase screws need to be loc-tited and tightened.
If the carb mounting screws just spin and dont tighten then they are stripped. The intake block is plastic so you can either try over sized screws ( first try a screw that is the same diameter but a bit longer) or replace the intake block.
