Winter storage?? fill it, add Sta-bil fuel stabilizer and runa few minutes then park it. for repairs just pop off the fuel line and let it drain into a container.

How To Drain Fuel Tank On 2005 Jeep Liberty Gas Tank

same as most cars like this....
the FSM book covers that.
it says to use drain a hose on the filler hose. (most cars)
and use siphon hose, or hand pump to hand pump it dry.

the dealer has 2 ways, using their scan tool , they open the system and turn on the fuel pump until dry. (fuel hoses to a bucket? after depressurizing steps, in the FSM stated.)
or they use a PRO grade, fuel draining system. that does this.

at home, you have 2 choices. a hose with siphon hose bulb.
or hot wire the pump. (risky making sparks with fuel; no?)

What to do if you think you put bad gas in your tank

Hopefully your vehicle will have a drain plug in the bottom of the fuel tank*: remove this & drain the fuel.
With the plug still removed flush about 5-10 litres of fuel thru by putting in thru the tank filler hole as usual.
Replace the drain plug and put a FULL tank of fuel in (this will dilute any residue as much as possible)
*In the case of no drain plug the fuel tank will need to be removed & fuel drained out thru the filler neck, drain fuel, replace tank & procede from the 'put a FULL tank of fuel section of this instruction.
If the vehicle has been started with the bad fuel remove the fuel filter.
If the vehicle has an electric fuel pump* (more modern vehicles ie. Post 1985 [some vehicles still had & still do have mechanicle fuel pumps]) turn the ignition on with the fiter not in place, vthis will flush fuel thru the fuel lines pushing out the bad/old fuel. Take care as the fuel will be under a fair bit of pressure & "sqirt' out.
*If it is a mechanicle pump this can not be done in this way.
Replace the fuel filter with a new one.
Bleed the fuel system & start the vehicle.
Allow the vehicle to idle for 10-15mins before going back to your usual driving.
All shld now be ok but it is a good idea to routinely inspect the fuel system for leaks over the nxt 10 000km or six months (wich ever is earlyest) as in the case of puting petrol in diesel or diesel in petrol the different rubber and plastic items (such as 'o' rings) can begin to deteriate & leak in wich case they will require replacement.

All the best & I hope this is of some help & it works out for you...

2005 F 250 6.0: Had "water in fuel" warning and so I drained the fuel line under truck, opened fuel line and turned on ignition to drain all... Then closed system, and tried to start the motor....

Keep cranking, you have starved the system of fuel. Once the air is out it will start. Be careful not to run the starter too long at a time it will over heat and ruin it.

How do I replace the Fuel Pump in my 2002 Cadillac Seville SLS

Hello ray......

The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. You can access the fuel tank thru the trunk. Inside the trunk and underneath the carpet, there is a access panel. Remove the five screws and lift the access panel. There under the panel you will see the pump. Disconnect it and take it to the auto parts store as they usually want the old one for an exchange. Thanks for choosing Fixya!

Unleaded gas in a diesel fuel tank

do not worry about draining it, pour about 6 to 8 ounces of engine oil in it, and top it up with fresh fuel, it will be fine. The only way to drain the tank is to remove it and turn it over.

Old gas in 2000 R1

drain it out. fill with new fuel, and system cleaner, then flush old out of the rest of system. This is better than mixing with octain boost and running it out.(use a lenth of fuel line to drain fuel into disposal can instead of getting old gas on your bike)

Water in fuel
During refueling, it is possible for
water-contaminated diesel fuel to be
pumped into your tank. Your vehicle
fuel system is equipped with a fuel
filter/water separator to remove water from the fuel. The WATER IN
FUEL light will illuminate when the ignition is turned to START (as part
of the light function check) and when the FCM/HFCM has a significant
quantity of water in it.
If the light illuminates when the engine is running, stop the vehicle as
soon as safely possible, shut off the engine, then drain the FCM/HFCM.
Refer to Draining the FCM/HFCM and changing the fuel filters in the
Maintenance and Specifications section of this supplement for the
drain procedure. Allowing water to stay in the system could result in
extensive damage to, or failure of, the fuel injection system
