Does it start good sometimes and not so good other times? When it does start does it run well? This problem could be anything from valves to carburetor. When was the last time the valves were adjusted or shims checked?

Hows the battery voltage, 13v is good...if battery reading is a lot lower than this and over three or four years old... id change it out. but you can do a quick charging system check if you have a multimeter..with engine running run up the rpms to about 3to4 grand and watch the meter it should rise in voltage maybe getting up to 13.5 or 14volts and then as your still reving it it should regulate back down to about 13v. regulating system is good!

Never pull the starter more than 3-4 times under full choke. Pull 3-4 times on choke, push in to half choke and pull, should start.

Car wont run below half a tank

If it has a timing belt, that is your problem

The exhaust converter & all the oxygen
sensors will have to be replaced as they
fired from the heat of a timing or misfire
issue

Check fuel pressure also after you resolve

I have a husqvarna 261 chainsaw. it will start half the time....the other half...no chance.i changed the spark plug.and im getting very good spark. took the carb apart and cleaned it. checked the plug when...

Hi, from what you have written I believe you have a faulty cdi unit. Carbys don't generally run perfectly intermittently. To test the cdi theory, close the sparkplug gap to approximately half normal gap. If the saw runs fine you have a faulty cdi, shorting ht lead or stop wire. Regards Phil.

Why when i start my car some time it dosnt start up straight away all the lights on panel is on but the engine wont start up

Lights on the dashboard will show up when the ignition is turned on (when your key is half-way turned). They dont need the engine to be running for them to work.

If your engine wont start, it can be numerous things. It is best to let a mechanic to look at it.

Drove it home everything was ok! went out the next

sounds like a broken timing belt, timing belts like to break during engine cranking and engine shut down. there are inspection holes in the timing cover,if you can't determine, remove top half of timing cover and check belt for slap,if there's slap,it's broke.

Why wont my machine start drying?

I called Whirlpool on 08706008989. The machine can only dry half a load of washing at a time. At the end of the washing cycle, the Programme dial should be at either the sun or half sun symbol. Remove half the washing, set the drying time via the drying time dial and press the 1/2 Load Dryer button - Voila dry clothes!
