Question about 2001 kawasaki ZX-12R

HI, my bike start normally, but when engine starts for 15 minutes, mean engine is full heated. i switch off and again switch on the bike. it can not start again. i replace the complete self and replace battery, but i still face same problem , plz help me

    thanks for you reply, sir i got the same problem. i change pulse coil generator, battery, STARTER CLUTCH GEARS BEARING and starter. but Problem still there. Is it possible that i will use battery with 12v to 14 Amp.i also check rectifier and CDI unit, both are working correctly.

    i had a similar problem on my honda cbr and it ended up being the pulse coil generator/ more or less the distributor system ...first thing to do is check for spark...( its gonna be a little hot but wear gloves) i found out that you can only troubleshoot this when it broke... not running....hold plug to engine frame if no spark then check to see if CDI spark unit is getting voltage when key is on, you should read battery voltage... then it helps to have a wiring schematic because there will be wires coming out of the spark unit down to the pulse generator circiut....it said i should have between 450 to 550 ohms between certain wires...well i only had 136 ohms on one circuit and nothing on the other. I replaced it and now it start up everytime.

Measure voltage going to solenoid for power when you hit the start switch.... you should hear a small clicking sound coming from the solenoid .if no clicking... the solenoid might be going bad. maybe the starter ground wire is broken internally or its possible that you bought a defective starter...you might want to take the starter to a dealer or repair shop to insure it in good working order. the battery you have should be up to a minimum 12.6v 12v wont be enough! 13v is perfect so you"ll have to get it trickle charged up. Oh and before we go on any further, do you know how to push start a motorcycle?have you tried this yet maybe the engine cylinders is seized up from no oil lubrication...get back to me on this you need to know if the engine is seized-up! put in neutral run real fast along side of the bike then pull yourself on top of bike ,pull in the clutch push down into first gear the pop the clutch while you sit down on the seat at the same time. MAKE sure the key is on when you do this and also make sure the kill switch is set to run. if it starts then this is probably your problem ....not getting enough oil to keep it form seizing up...so turn off the engine quick...don't want any further damage. let me know how it turns out.

I own a Yamaha Crypton motor bike. Problem is the bike stops running, engine quits acts like it's out of fuel but the tank is full. I let it sit for say 10 -15 minutes then it will start again.?


May want to check for restrictions in the fuel line. Like the fuel filter or may have trash in the carberator/injectors. The reason it starts after sitting, is the fuel is seeping through the line very slow. Thus. Reaching the carbs/injectors.

Use a multimeter and monitor the kill switch or whatever switch shuts the unit off normally. It may be failing when warm. Sounds like you covered the basics already.

Hi, Matt it saddens me to inform you that you have to put on your Battery Priest Robe and prepare yourself for the Ceremonial "LOAD TEST" but before you begin, maintenance type batteries must be topped off with distilled Holy Water and all batteries must present their terminals to the battery charging altar to receive the electrical infusion of Holy Ions until they have reached a 100% full charge of 12.5 volts or better.
Below is a quick and easy test to see if your battery is in good condition or needs Last Rites and must be replaced.
1. Start by disconnecting the spark plug cables.
2. Adjust voltmeter to DC volts 20-volt range
3. Place the voltmeter leads to the battery terminals.
4. Turn the run/off switch to run.
5. Turn the ignition switch on and press the starter button.
6. Watch the voltmeter as your engine turns over for 15 seconds.
7. If the voltage drops below 9.5 volts, the battery is faulty and must be replaced.

My cbr600rr 2004 just running less than 4 k, and the this bike was rarely use by the first owner. i found the bike not run smoothly and i have all the injectors cleaned and so is the tank. The bike runs...


Id start at replace spark plugs.. too this bike may have sensors that tell an ECM info one of these may be out of spec after a set time or temp .. id get a manual & check the locations of them. In manual the often have a trouble shooting guide..

Okay one issue with many of the Sportster models is the intake gaskets. They only seem to have a life of two to three years. What happens is once the bike gets warm these gaskets don't work well if very much at all and the bike is too lean to start. But once the bike cools off all is good. Sound familar?
Now I've personally owned a 1978 XLCR, 1984 XLH, 1997 XLCH, and each and everyone has made me cuss with the same issue.
You may have other issues but I would start there first, as the gaskets are less than $10, the labor if you do it yourself is free. Good luck and let us know if this helps.

I need to check the oil level in my 1985 Yamaha virargo 700 and when it starts all the oil disapears from the glass left side of the bike should it be full when the bike is runnung or when th ebike has...


this is normal. when the engine is running it drives the oil pump which then circulates the oil around the engine. this will empty the sight glass. to check the oil level switch off the engine and leave for 15 minutes. make sure the bike is on level ground and upright. this gives the oil time to drain back into the sump. hope this is helpful..

I have a pulsar 150cc from 5 year, my bike running mode and stop after run 15-20km. I checked engine oil and break oil. but both are Ok. i can't say what is this problem. So please you solve me this...


This is the problem ouccured because of starting coil of ur bike.
The current is not passing is become very low because of that mostly the bike stop after some distance.
