Question about 1998 Suzuki GSX-R 750 W
I have a 96 gsxr750. He bike idles extremely high for periods at a time without cause. After a couple hard quick turns of the throttle the rpms return to normal some of the time. I have tried carb cleaners and adjusting the idle screw. Sometimes I think I have the idle just right and the rpms race to almost 4000. I adjust it down and the rpms drop but the bike stalls a few seconds after. What should I be looking for?
Either a vacuum hose has come loose or is worn/cracked, or you might have a leaking head gasket.
when engine is running at a normal idle,... spray some carb cleaner around hose fittings and the intake manifolds one carb at a time..if the idle goes up..there's your problem.

Yep you got a vacum leak probably hose off or cracked, have a good look it usually sticks out saying this is the problem. seaya Neil
