What should i be seeing for compression on a 2008 crf 250r? Warmed up with the decompression lever hooked up. Does 57 psi sound right?

57psi is fine if you are using the decomp lever when checking the psi. The normal psi without the lever is 120min to approx 200.

2008 Honda CRF 250 R blows oil out of the breather hose

Hi, Devenbandazi and the usual suspects are:
1. Oil tank/system overfilled.
2. Faulty breather valve.
3. Engine breather hose bent, pinched, kinked etc.
4. Air filter has too much "pre-oil".
5. Crankshaft seal failure allowing transmission fluid to migrate.
6. Blow by drain tube cracked/split or filled to capacity.

Hi i got a second hand crf 250r for christmas its a 2005 model. i had it running perfectly in the garden for about 30 minutes i put it back in the garage left it for about a week and half mabey 2 weeks,...

Hello,

This is a common problem depending on the area you live in.

Try this; quickly snap the throttle 3 -5 times and kick start it immediately. Do not open the throttle while trying to kick start your bike. You can open it about 1/4 of the way just before you kick start it, but let go of the throttle just as you kick start it - kick back sux and can hurt you.

You may have to run the bike a little richer (Carb adjustment).

Hope this helps. Please vote if this information was useful to you. Thanks!

Regards,

Oz

Are the frames the same? 05 crf 250r and a 07 crf

No. Honda has a very crafty way of making two different models look like they have parts that will interchange, when - in reality - they are totally different. That goes for not only the major components like frames, but for nearly every part, on nearly every model. Very little in the way of parts interchangeability.

REMOVE SEAT AND FUEL TAKE, YOU HAVE TO GET TO TOP OF CARB. THE TOP SCREWS OFF AND SLIDE OUT THE THROTTLE SLIDE. YOU HAVE TO COMPRESS THE RETURN SPRING AND PUSH THE CABLE AND HOLDER DOWN . YOU WILL SEE A SLOT IN THE SLIDE THE CABLE AND SPRING HAVE TO COME OUT OF THE SLOT ON THE END OF THE CABLE IS WHAT HOLDS THE CABLE IN THE SLIDECOMPRESS THE SPRING AND THE CABLE WILL THEN HAVE PLAY TO REMOVE THE CABLE FROM THE SLIDE, REPLACE THE SAME WAY
