Sounds like it's sucking air. Spray around with some wd-40 until the engine speeds up to locate any air leaks.

Hi, David I would love to help you with your engine or chassis noise but I just loaned my brand new pair of listening ears to your local dealer's chief technician so he could take your bike for a test ride and give you his professional opinion and estimate about your noise and repair cost. Good luck and have nice a day.

The bike will have a cut out switch for the side stand. IE if the side stand is down and you try to put the bike in gear it will either cut the engine or not let you start if at all.

Make sure the bike is in neutral and try again.

Well, it's tough to try to diagnose a problem on a computer since I can't hear the noise for myself but here's a best guess.

You siad it made a sucking noise and it won't idle. I'd suspect a vacuum leak somewhere. Pull the air filter cover and the air filter. Check to make sure everything is tight in that area. Remove the air filter backing plate and check to see if the carburetor is tight. Remember, the stock CV carb is a spigot mount and it just pushes into the intake manifold. There is a seal around the intake and this seal could be bad or the gaskets where the intake connects to the head could be bad. If you remove the intake, make sure you get the alignment correct before you tighten the bolts that hold it to the head.

On either the intake or the backside of the carb, there is a vacuum port that supplies vacuum to the VOES switch and the vacuum operated petcock. Check this hose along it's entire length.

Well, Joe, that's my "best guess". I hope it helps.

Good Luck
Steve

Carburetor float stuck, probably some sediment that got past the filter. If not that then check your fuel lines coming from the tank to the fuel pump or filter.

Weird noise on my bmx bike

It sounds like you have cracked or broken one or both sealed cartridge bearings if thats what your bike has. If it has ball bearings in races they might be broken. Try loosening your rear wheel enough to take the chain off and then turn your crank. See if theres a funny noise or if it feels a little weird when its turning. If you broke a pedal bearing you should be able to tell just by carefully turning each pedal with your fingers and seeing what it feels like. In any case unless you have the tools to repair it you will have to take it in and get it repaired.

if it just clicks, firstly hook up jumper cables to battery, if it still just clicks, it will need starter motor brushes.
