I have easy starting but my engine turns off when i shift gear.its not with the side stand

    i have a clause problem

    while taking half clause ,sliping sounds comes from engine.i changed clause plate twice a week but this isn't solved yet.but while engine is cooled it works as normal,anybody have any idea?

Just where the stand is connected there is a plug disconnect it.....then always lift your bike close the stand then ride your bike.....or open the wiring system find out the bug and fix it...or change the whole wire!

Hi, Dan the ignition circuit cut-off system comprising of the side stand switch, clutch switch and neutral switch has the following functions:
a. It prevents starting when the transmission is in gear and the side stand is up, but the clutch lever is not pulled.
b. It prevents starting when the transmission is in gear and the clutch lever is pulled, but the side stand is still down.
c. It cuts the running engine when the transmission is in gear and the side stand is moved down.
Periodically check the operation of the ignition circuit cut-off system according to the following tests.
With the engine turned off:
1. Move the side stand down.
2. Make sure that the engine stop switch is set to "RUN"
3. Turn the key to "ON".
4. Shift the transmission into the neutral position.
5. Push the start switch if the engine does not start the neutral switch may be faulty.
With the engine still running:
6. Move the side stand up.
7. Keep the clutch lever pulled.
8. Shift the transmission into gear.
9. Move the side stand down if the engine does not stall you may have a faulty side stand switch.

1995 KLE500 Kawasaki: neutral blue light doesn't show and when clutch is released to engage in gear, engine cuts off

Hi, H650, working fine, then erratically just stop, seems electrical problem, side stand switch were suspicious, took it off and bridged the wires, the same problem, Thx

My honda valkyrie stalls when shifting from neutral to first gear wile still holding down the clutch

2001 YAMAHA ROADSTAR will only start if kickstand is UP not DOWN and clutch handle pulled in for some reason it thinks bike is in gear but it is not. The neutral light is on bike drives good and shifts...

Bike starts fine, but when i squeeze clutch and engage any gear engine stalls


i had this problem with my cr 125 you will need to change your clutch basket.

Ive got a hartford 125 vr wont stay running


sounds like you have a leak in the intake between the carb and motor, check the gasket between the carb and motor.

Starting chatter


Check the ring gear on the clutch basket to make sure the teeth are all in good condition. Check the starter clutch and armature assembly and make sure that the teeth inside aren't chewed up.
