Question about 2007 Yamaha Road Star Midnight Silverado
07 Roadstar 1700cc. Road home from work yesterday and it ran fine. Tried to go somewhere the next day but it started, ran rough for a few seconds, than would died. Hard to start and will not stay running once it does start. Runs rough for a few seconds than dies. Changed plugs although they looked good. Air filter is clean.
Couple of things you will need to check:
check connections on coil and on battery
check your fuel filter to make sure its not clogged
check the termination from you battery hot down to the starter. It's not unusual for the cable to be kinked at the starter
and last thing give your battery cables a tug and see if the wire pulls out of the lug, if it does then you have a bad connection and need a new battery cable.

It could be fuel problem. Please check the fuel lines, the filter, the pump etc.
